Another wild night at Laithwaite Park, where defending was optional and goals were very much on the menu.

Poacher and Wigan Fan TV served up a tight one, with Wigan Fan TV just about streaming the win live in the final minutes.

Arouna Stone vs Sons of Pitches was pure chaos—14 goals, very little defending, and Sons of Pitches taking full advantage of the open mic night at the back.

Coppull Rangers nicked the night’s tightest game against Ballas FC in a proper grind where one goal was all it took.

Laithwaite Park: The Day After Report

Laithwaite Park, one of Wigan’s busiest grassroots football hubs, witnessed another evening of absolute footballing chaos. Emergency services have confirmed several defences are still missing.

⚽ BARELY ATHLETIC FC 0-7 WIGAN FAN TV
Barely Athletic lived up to the name, while Wigan Fan TV turned into Wigan Prime TV. Rumours suggest Barely Athletic’s goalkeeper has requested witness protection after facing what felt like 47 shots.

⚽ ROYAL OAK FC 6-2 INCE-STER MILAN
Ince-ster Milan arrived looking like Italian giants and left looking like they flew with Ryanair and lost their luggage. Royal Oak served up six pints of pain and sent them home before last orders.

⚽ POACHER FC 3-7 AROUNE STONE
Poacher FC scored three and still got comfortably beaten. That’s the football equivalent of bringing a knife to a gunfight and somehow accidentally stabbing yourself.

⚽ VIPIGS FC 4-8 BALLAS FC
Twelve goals. Defending was apparently optional. Ballas FC treated the opposition penalty area like an all-you-can-eat buffet, while VIPIGS at least went down swinging. The keepers involved have reportedly formed a support group.

⚽ MISFITS 7-2 MARUS BRIDGE
The Misfits once again proved that being disorganised off the pitch doesn’t stop you being absolutely lethal on it. Marus Bridge spent most of the evening asking if anyone had seen their back four.

⚽ COPPULL RANGERS 0-3 SONS OF PITCHES
A professional performance from Sons of Pitches. Coppull Rangers tried to keep things tight but ended up being the latest victims of a team whose name gets funnier every time they win.
