‼️ GAME WEEK ‼️

Following last week’s disappointments, the lads are looking to bounce back this Saturday as we welcome Hoylake to Green Lane! 💚💙

🏉 1st XV kick-off: 1pm

We’re also pleased to welcome back Josh Aldwinckle for one day/night only! 👀🍻

A well done to Tom T for stepping up from the 2s this week, and to Toby, whose performance last week has earned him a spot on the team sheet! 👏

Unfortunately, due to a shortage of referees, our 2s have a week off. The lads will look to build on last week’s performance in training before returning to action at home next week against Widnes 3s.

Let’s get behind the lads and make home advantage count! 🏉

‼️ SATURDAY RESULTS & UPDATE ‼️

Unfortunately, due to a number of injuries, our 1st XV were unable to field a team for today’s fixture against Colne & Nelson.

This also meant our 2nd XV had to forfeit their league and cup double-header against West Park 3s.

A massive thank you to West Park for making the trip over to Green Lane to play a friendly instead. It was a great game with plenty of positives for the lads to take away and build on! 💪

We go again next week with two home games at Green Lane. 🏉

Thank you to everyone who made themselves available and supported the teams this week.

Up the Kirk! 💚💙

‼️ SENIOR MEN’S RESULTS ‼️

🏉 1st XV – Our 1st XV battled out a 15–15 draw away at Oxton Parkonians, meaning they retain the Taff Cup for another year! 💪🏻🏆

🏉 2nd XV – A frustrating one for the 2s, who went into half-time in the lead against Liverpool Collegiate 2XV. A few errors allowed Collegiate back into the game and ultimately secured them the win.

Despite the result, we keep building week on week, and there’s plenty of positives to take forward!

A massive congratulations to HJ and Callum, who both made their senior men’s debuts today! 👏🏻 Even better, Callum picked up Player of the Match! 💪🏻🔥

Well done, lads! Keep pushing, keep building and Up the Kirk! 💚💙

🏉 SENIOR MEN’S RESULTS ‼️

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for our senior men’s sides today, with both the 1XV and 2XV falling short away from home against St Edward’s Old Boys and Widnes 3s.

Both sides will be disappointed not to come away with the W, but credit to every one of the lads who battled right until the final whistle. 💪

Plenty to take away, plenty to work on, and we go again next week.

Keep backing the boys. 🟢🔵
