🏈 Game Result & MVPs 🏈
A strong performance away to the Liverpool Raptors saw the Vikings secure a hard-fought 6–2 victory, marking our first win of the season and the first Division 1 win in team history. A complete team performance, with contributions across all three phases.
💪Team MVP – Matthew Hickman
Led the team out one last time, and stepped up massively at the end. Changed positions and didn’t just fill in, but competed with real tenacity. Delivered when called upon to punt, and showed elite football IQ, he made key plays all day.
⚔️Offense MVP – Dylan Bundy
Moved the chains all game at QB. Accurate across all three levels, composed in the pocket, and used his legs when needed. The scoreline doesn’t reflect the level of control he had over that game. He was in full command of the offense.
🛡️Defense MVP – Sergen Bozkurt
Big-time tackles throughout the game and showed elite leadership to ensure victory in the final minutes. Ensured everyone was organised and ready for every look the opposition showed. Dominant presence. True last line of defense.
🏈Special Teams MVP – Kai Patton
Dominated the field position battle once again. Huge performance.
And with the resilience he’s shown, we know he’ll be back stronger.
🌟Rookie MVP – Freddie Hall
Big-time catches all game, with a massive 4th down conversion to keep the chains moving. He was physical all game, making a big impact with his perimeter blocking.
