A special mention to our POTM from yesterday.

Ava was parents POTM after scoring 4 goals and a game full of skill, pace and drive in her attacking play.

Coaches POTM went to Belle for unbelievable decision making, being in the right place defensively but recognising her opportunities to push forward with brilliant individual runs. And Alice for a great all round performance, a game where she had everything, passing, movement, vision, assists, goals, effort and energy.

Well done all three on excellent performances.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS - BURSCOUGH LINNETS 11 V ASTLEY AND BUCKSHAW 0

What a way to kickstart our Fylde and Lancashire League campaign. The girls started like a rocket with the opening goal scored within 1 minute following some wonderful one touch passing. The rest of the game followed in the same vein and our highlights show the football being played. Great passing, movement, vision and outstanding use of the whole pitch, creating gaps which we then played through. A great team performance, and exciting to see the girls really thinking about their football and as always really supporting each other on the pitch. A summary from the ref at the end of the game ' THAT IS SOME TEAM YOU HAVE THERE..... OUTSTANDING FOOTBALL.'
We celebrate not only our goals but all the football that creates those goals and the strength in the back line allowing that free flowing attacking football to happen.
Well done Linnets a great performance. 💚💚
