Wow summer is nearly over and seems to have gone by in a flash! Lots of fun packed in though. New sports, family outings, trips with friends, celebrating wedding anniversaries and birthdays (inc 15yrs🥂, a 50th and 18th🎂) And gymnasts wouldn’t be gymnasts without handstanding wherever they go. Great summer - see you back in gym soon 🤸🏼‍♂️💕

Thanks to Leeds Gymnastics Club for a great day yesterday at gymfest. Two displays for Spartac - a final outing of Here Comes the Sun and a premier of the new Linkin Park display. We loved it and the audience seemed to too! As did the judging panel - thanks for our award 🏅🤸🏼‍♂️🏆

Thanks to everyone at Scottish Gymnastics for another amazing Gymfest weekend - Spartac had a wonderful time. Well done especially to our new gymnasts performing for the first time 👏🏻 and to those taking on new roles, coaching, and gymnastics skills. Never too old to take to the performance floor for the first time!!🤸🏼‍♂️🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hope everyone has had a great Easter weekend and a rare Sunday off gym 🐣!! The display team have been developing a few new skills from the oldest to the youngest! Work hard play hard and remember we don’t practice til we get it right, we practice til we don’t get it wrong!! 🙌🏻🤩🤸🏼‍♂️

To all the women and girls of Spartac proving that you’re never too young or too old to participate. Sport is so good for physical health, mental wellbeing and builds a community of friends! Well done everyone, whatever your sport for your achievements, participation and entertainment!

Day 24: Advent is a season of preparation. At Spartac we know all about that! We also know that things aren’t always easy and the best laid plans sometimes need plan B (or plan C!) Dave as always drives us forward with optimism in the face of adversity and always driving to embrace new things. To end advent we celebrate preparing for new things - new gymnastics skills, new gymnasts on the squad, new tech skills (we’re looking at that ‘handstand’ Dave!), new engagements, new homes and laughing at that comment of “have you thought of changing this Dawn” just before a performance! As some things never change🤣🥰

Day 23: we love medals! 🏅 Spartac gymnasts certainly have a good collection and we love receiving more, whether presented on the gym floor or as part of post display celebrations. Some aren’t keen on the camera though but we can make adjustments 🤣

Day 22: A great time was had as always at Master McGrath’s for our Christmas meal/party night. Not just skilled at gymnastics but Spartac can also bust out some amazing dance moves and air guitar 🎸🕺🏻As for singing, let’s just say we do it with confidence!🤣
