Manx Ravens Inline Hockey Club Inline hockey team previously competing in BRHA West league. Training at the Onchan Hub sports hall every Friday at 20:30-22:30 16+ . So what kit will you need ?

Some kit available for beginners to try. First 2 sessions free. £10 per session after that. We're the island's first inline hockey club and are always looking for new players to join us . We have previously played in the BRHA West B division which is part of the BRHA UK league consisting of 10 regions throughout the British Isles competing for places in up to 4 nationals competitions each summer.

Whether you can barely stand on a pair of skates or have played for years you'll be made welcome , our only stipulation is that you are over 16 . We're currently playing at Onchan Community Centre on a Friday night from 20:30-22:30 . Cost is dependent on number of attendees , Below 8 = £10 per person , 8 or more = £5 per person . (First 2 sessions free to newcomers) . Most importantly , a pair of skates however due to previous incidents of damaging floor surfaces we cannot allow AGGRESSIVE skates or HEEL BRAKES (Outdoor sessions excepted). However if you have a pair of skates with a heel brake attached and are able to remove it without leaving any extruding bolts then that is fine . With the session being more game focused we strongly recommend minimum kit of helmet , gloves , leg guards , elbow pads , box . We do have some spare kit and skates to allow newcomers to have a go so if you're attending a session and wish to use the kit please let us know in advance. If you would like to come down and watch before giving it a go feel free to contact us or just turn up to any of the sessions listed . Cheers !

Apparently there's some new interest in our happy little team. I'm notoriously rubbish at keeping the page up to date but we're still playing every Friday up at the Onchan Hub from 20:30-22:30 in the little tiny sports hall.

The island has been officially Covid free for a few months now and we have resumed our sessions. After an initial burst of excitement the numbers have dwindled again . We are currently trying a combination of alternate Monday and Friday sessions as shown in the attached pic. It would be nice to try and get up to double figures for some of the sessions so hopefully those who were unable to attend Friday nights might be tempted along to the Monday sessions. Due to increased hall rental charges the cost per session is now £10 per person if less than 8 in attendance or £5 per person at 8 and above . Check our social page for event check in .

I'm pretty rubbish at keeping this page up to date. Due to COVID19 there will not be any sessions for the foreseeable future. Stay safe, wash your hands and keep away from those crowded areas. We'll be back when we can.
