Men's Singles & Doubles Finals 2026

Tuesday evening is Men's Social Tennis at the club and it is the perfect time to reflect on the exciting tennis we all enjoyed on Saturday in the Men's Doubles and Men's Singles Finals.

Our Men's captain, Paul H featured in both! While Dan eventually triumphed in the Singles final, Paul added another Doubles title to his tally playing with Theo. It was really great to see Dan battling away with Paul as Paul has been key in supporting Dan since he was a junior at the club.

The Men's Doubles championships saw Mike and Tom V doing really well in reaching the final in their first year playing at the club. Some great tennis made this a fantastic match to end the day with. Well done to Paul & Theo on their victory 🏆

Ladies Tennis Doubles Final at Ombersley Tennis & Padel Club 2026

Monday Night is Ladies' Night at the club. It is open to all lady members and juniors playing matches and we play a mix of match practice with partners and social tennis between 7 and 9 pm.

Yesterday we had our Ladies' Double Final at our Club Championships, where defending champions Nat & Gail held off the challenge of Erika & Maisie who appeared in their first club final. We know it won't be the last...

We had a fantastic Finals Day for our annual Club Championships yesterday 🏆

Tremendous matches with a consistently high level of tennis and padel were enjoyed by the many members who came down to support the finalists.

The club has really grown over the last two years, with the inclusion of padel and the expansion of the tennis membership. This was clear in the mix of finalists this year - defending champions, new faces in the finals, new champions and our very first padel finalists!

Well done to everyone who made it through to the finals and a huge thank you to all who took part to make it such a great tournament this year. Congratulations to our winning finalists and commiserations to the runners up who all fought valiantly and provided a great afternoon of tennis and padel!

And finally...drumroll please 🥁

The Men's A team rounded off a spectacular summer season on Sunday morning with a 5-1 win away against Barnt Green B. Some tight matches, with two going to final set championship tie breaks. They only needed 4 points from the fixture to top the division but they gave the match their full focus and finished in style. Great team performance from George, Tom P, Paul H, Theo, Aayush and Eshaan!

Winning the division was crucial for promotion, as up to division 4 the county is divided into two sections - east and west. The winners only of the respective division 4s are promoted into a combined division 3 where the team will find themselves facing new opponents and of course an increasingly more challenging level of competition next summer. For now though they can pause and savour their success 🏆

You can feel like David Attenborough trying to get a picture of these rare creatures.. We tried over the season!
