🥋 JUDO FOR MMA IS COMING TO OMMA 🥋

We’re buzzing to welcome Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Rachael Hawkes to the OMMA coaching team.

Every Friday at 7PM, Rachael will be taking our brand new JUDO FOR MMA class — bringing elite-level judo and adapting it specifically for MMA.

Expect:
• Throws & trips
• Clinch control
• Off-balancing
• Takedown entries
• Mat returns
• Grip fighting
• How to make judo work against the cage and in MMA situations

This is a massive addition to the OMMA timetable and a chance to learn from someone who has competed at the highest level of the sport.

This one means a lot. ❤️

OMMA has been shortlisted for the Community Impact Award at the Tyrone Business Awards 2026.

We’ve never really looked at OMMA as just a gym.

The fights, titles and medals are great, but the thing I’m probably most proud of is what has been built around them.

Kids growing in confidence.
People getting themselves back on track.
Friendships made.
Teams built.
And a place where a lot of people have found somewhere they belong.

So of all the awards we could be shortlisted for, Community Impact is a pretty special one.

Big thank you to every coach, fighter, member, parent and person who has been part of OMMA over the years.

You’ve all played a part in what this place has become.

Whatever happens from here, it’s nice to know that what we’re doing is being noticed. 👊❤️

Looking for something that will get your child off the screens, moving, learning and growing in confidence?

Kids MMA at OMMA is about so much more than learning how to fight.

No experience is needed. Your child doesn’t have to be naturally sporty, super confident or already know martial arts. They just have to walk through the door.
