With all the camps running well and hopefully sorted for this year it’s time to get back to the next project which I’m sure you’ll find as exciting as I do. For now I’m just giving you a tiny glimpse/taster of what will unfold over the following days. Please hold your questions for now it will become clear. There is just too much information to put down in one post.

Ardmedden was ultimately set up as a training centre to educate with natural horsemanship at its core. I love my groundwork but we’ve always had Ernest Dillon Fbhs as our main instructor giving advice to our student riders. Every year we have at least 2 or 3 visiting natural horse experts not forgetting our wonderful Karen Dixon. We have had lots of students from near and far that have gained from this wealth of knowledge. Our lovely schoolmaster horses were the product. Now we have no horses in training, we have no full time staff but what we do have is empty stables and lots of the best feedstuffs around. Not to mention our amazing facilities.

So we are offering/sponsoring 2 perhaps 4 very lucky people (adult or child) with livery at our amazing yard at no cost for a one year period. This will include tuition and spaces on our clinics. We may also be in a position to offer on site accommodation.
What we are looking for in return is individuals that have drive and passion with a can do attitude. A real want to achieve and succeed in the horse industry. Our hope is simple they go on to better the world for the horse with old fashioned good horsemanship knowledge.

This offer will be open to both children and adults.

Blue Farm Ride

Text 10 mins before arrival if you are in a rush.

You need to meet me face to face & sign disclaimers.

Arrive parking at steading.

Portacabin Sign disclaimers.

If your horse is a fidget please feel free to put it in a stable in the steading.

Do not mount before signing disclaimers. Yep I’m sometimes late but people on the farm ride are also late. If you are on a tight schedule message before hand & say so. Most people booking arrive at the hour of the booking. Some are organised and arrive up to 30 mins early to sign & start at the hour of the booking. Some non loaders arrive an hour and a half late. Some are just a no show… got wrong/day/week. If you text 10 mins before arrival it gives us all a chance to be there at the same time.

Start down cement road by farmhouse.

Follow blue arrow signs. Lots of!

You can be on blue farm ride for as long as you want. You can go round the same field 20 times but you must go clockwise apart from the piggery field (after the ditch) where you can choose either direction.

Arrive back at steading. Free to use stables & tie up outside to wash down.

Text to say you have arrived back safely.
