Its with really sad news news that Brian Welsh passed away on Tuesday after a long illness.

Welshy as Brian was often called was a great member of this bowling club for many years and will be sadly missed by all.

I have posted the pictures that i have the first picture was the very first year of The Benachie knockout cup when we reached the final against Pitmedden.

Good evening as a few of you know i have decided not to bowl out of Oldmeldrum this season.

As i bowl out of 2 clubs i feel that i could not give both clubs 100% commitment. Since i work in Aberdeen i have decided to bowl out of Abergeldie only this season.

I have had 15 great years at this club and put alot of hard work in.I would like to thank all the sponsors that have backed the club and myself over the years

Many thanks to Phil Anderson Financial Services Ltd. Presly and Co Ross the Baker, The Meldrum Chipper and Porters Gin. Your support to our club has been fantastic and hopefully you guys will carry on.
There is a new Oldmeldrum Bowling page just started i have tried to pass admin over but i am led to believe this has not worked.
I will keep this page open and if given information i will also post it on here.
I have many great memories and met and played bowls with some amazing people and characters.

I have posted pics of my 2 greatest memories.

Reaching The Scottish National Finals with Ian Ingram in 2018 and winning The Newhills Triples in 2019 with Ian Ingram and Ian Western .

The new outdoor season will be upon us soon.

Our green opens on Saturday 19th of April at 2pm.

This day is open to all members ,new members and anyone that wants to come along to find out or try the game of bowls.

This year will be our 99th year and we would love to see old and new faces coming up for a roll on the green or a cup of coffee and a chat

Jason who bowls out of Inverurie Outdoor Bowling Club and The Garioch Indoor Bowling Club has certainly put the North of Scotland on the bowling map.

This could not have happened to a nicer guy who has ice running through his vains,

This week Rothienorman Bowling Club and the game of bowls lost an absolute legend.

John Nicol enjoying himself at our tournament 28-07-24.

John was a true gentleman and a great sportsman who loved his game of bowls win, Loose or draw John was always smiling and always up for a chat. Till we meet again John sleep well my friend.
