FootGolf Association of England host the event, Captain Kyle Brown, Dan Wallbanks and John Wood in the men’s Category

Welsh Open, Flint Mountain Hotel and Golf, Wales.

Last weekend saw 8 players from Aintree FGC, take on the tough hillside Welsh Open in Flintshire.

What a weekend for all our players taking part. This is why we are the best Club in England!!!!

Where shall we start…..

Men’s….

Club captain Kyle Brown fantastic start to the season is continued with his first Welsh Open win 🏆

Kyle ended the first round of 18, on -9 just one shot from the leaders. On the Sunday all the action took place. Kyle, still couple of shots behind leader Matt Morgan leading up to the last few holes, when all started to change, then onto the last hole Kyle’s approach shot left him with a couple meter putt for birdie and to take the Welsh Crown back home with a score of -18.

Excellent performance from the Captain. 🏆

Also in the men’s category Welshman John Wood, finished in 18 place with a score of -8, confirmed his place in the Wales team, being the highest placed from Wales, to face England and Scotland in this years Brainstrust Cup

Big well done to John 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Callum Parry finished T28 with a score of -5 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Over 45s….

Rhys Williams the Welsh Wizard didn’t go as planned finished 19th with a score of +6 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 tied with teammate Paul Parker on the same score 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Over 45 plus….

Bleddyn Jones finished 4th with a score of +5 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Onto the ladies…

Welsh number 1 Jen Broughall continued to show how good and important she is to our Aintree FGC team with another win in the Welsh Open. Jen’s dominance this weekend saw her score rise to -9 with finshing 8 shots clear of Englands Michaela Hill.

Well done Jen 🏆

Always improving Steph Farley, finished in 5th place in the ladies category with a score of +4 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Big well done to all winners and competitors 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

FootGolf Association of England Club League

Today 1pm

Aintree FGC travel to Oldham FGC today, trying to maintain a 100% record in this seasons Club League.

As last years winners the overall Club League finals, and after beating Regents Park FGC a few weeks ago, Captain Kyle Brown takes the team looking for another win!!

FIFG FootGolf Euro 24, Turkey

FootGolf European Championship is up and running in Turkey this week. FootGolf Association of England have taken 2 strong squads of Men and Senoir Categories.

Our very own England international and Aintree FGC Club Captain Kyle Brown is among the squad of players taking on the best counties in Europe!

Best of luck to Kyle and the rest of the squad for the rest of the week as they look to progress through the quarter finals v Czech Republic tomorrow afternoon.

Club League Champions 🏆

This weekend saw the team compete at the FootGolf Association of England Club League Finals at Sysonby Arces, Melton Mowbury!!

An historic day for Aintree FootGolf Club, only started the new Club this season, with an empathic win against other clubs throughout the country.

Club Captain Kyle Brown took at small team of 5 international players Dan Wallbanks, Steph Farley, John Wood and Jen Broughall to take on the challenge of becoming champions at a rainy Sunday in the East Midlands.

After qualification into the knockouts first up was Riching Park FGC.

This round saw the partnership of Kyle Brown and Dan Wallbanks defeat Nathan Appasamy and Tom Underwood by a score of 3-1

While Jen Broughall and John Wood drew there match 2-2 against, brother of Tom, Luke Underwood and David Harper

Onto the semi finals one of the tournament favourites Cambridge FGC

The match full of international stars

Brown and Wallbanks defeated National tour leader Ant Brolia and partner James Brice 3-1

Welsh partnership of Broughall and Wood making it a clean sweep to see off last years Over 45s champion Glynn Cooke and Ash Moden by a score of 2-1

Onto the final and wow!!!

Gatwick FGC regarded as the team to beat at these events, were up against an inform Aintree FGC team, with the momentum and looking to take the crown.

There was no love lost as Brown and Wallbanks showed how good they are as they smashed the Gatwick pair 4-0 v Amateur tour leader Max Baker and Liam Moore

So onto the last match to be finished Broughall and Wood took on Women’s champion Claire Williams and over 45 Paul Hammond, after a great start, saw John Wood leave a great approach shot on the last hole, leaving a nice putt for Jen Broughall to finish the afternoon as National Club League Champions🏆 3-0

An absolute well done to the team, there was some amazing FootGolf produced by all 5 players👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

So congratulations to them and all that played for Aintree FGC this season.

Over the next couple of days I will introduce our players currently signed up and ready for the season!!!

First up is last years FootGolf Association of England North Champion and England International,
Dan Wallbanks!!!

Dan has been playing FootGolf a few years now, at National, Club League and International level, he has got one of the biggest kicks in the game. His left foot has had a whole lot of players in awe, nicknamed the ‘Wallbanger’ when he sends the ball miles down the fairway!!!
