Moorside Sports Club Ltd (formerly Moorside Cricket & Bowling Club and Moorside Football Club) welcomes new playing members: Crown Green Bowls, Cricket & Football and non-playing members & their families who want to enjoy a great family atmosphere. It was first established as a Cricket Club in 1862. In 2012 the Club celebrated its 150 years anniversary. Our Bowls Section started in 1899. Our Club
premises and land is owned by the members. The Club has over 450 sporting and non-sporting members, and has very strong links within the local community. We have two senior Cricket teams, and, from 2022, a number of junior teams at all ages from Under 9 to Under 13. New cricketers of any age are always welcome. Our Crown Green Bowls section has several men's and ladies' teams (including veterans). Again we welcome any new bowlers (either with or without experience). In particular the Club is keen to attract younger players to the sport. The Club provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both playing and non-playing members. Sky Q UHD TV showing Sky Sports and BT Sports are available in the club. Our club house is available to members and non-members for bookings, (subject to availability). Between mid-April & mid-September, if there is a cricket fixture, the Club will only be available for hire AFTER 20:00. NOTE: it is not normally our policy to accept bookings for 18th and 21st birthdays unless these are club members or relatives of Club members. NOTE: The Clubhouse is ALWAYS open to Club members
