🏏 What’s On This Weekend at GCC? 🏏

Just three weekends of cricket left — and this one is a big one with all five of our senior teams in action...

🏏 Down at GCC

- Saturday: Our high-flying 1st XI host Denton St Lawrence.
- Sunday: Our 3rd XI host Radcliffe.

🏏 On the road

- Our 2nd XI travel to Elton on Saturday.
- Our Women’s XI host Upton CC at Micklehurst CC
- 🏆 And then it’s the big one for our 4th XI…they take on Deane & Derby in the cup final — their biggest game of the season! 🏆

A huge weekend for the club, so get out and support the teams if you can.

Best of luck to all our teams — and especially the 4th XI… bring home that trophy! 🏆🙏

🏏💗 £1,500 RAISED! 💗🏏

What an incredible evening at our B***s & Balls Charity Match!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, played, cheered, donated and supported us. The atmosphere was fantastic, and thanks to your generosity we’re delighted to announce that we have raised an amazing £1,500 for breast and prostate cancer charities. 🎉👏

And as if the evening couldn’t have been more perfect… even the sky turned pink for us! 💗 What a backdrop to an unforgettable evening of cricket.

A massive thank you to everyone involved in making the event happen, and to both teams — GCC Ultras and Sam Taylor XI — for putting on a brilliant evening of cricket.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who contributed. £1,500 is a fantastic result and something we can all be really proud of. ❤️

Although the main game is off due to the standing water on the square, there will be a bowl-out on the Astro tonight, starting at around 6:15pm! 🎯🏏

The bar will still be open, so come down, support the players, raise a glass to Rob and help us make the most of the evening.

🏏 Junior Girls Tournament at Greenfield! 💚🩷

On Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic Junior Girls Tournament here at Greenfield Cricket Club.

As well as two Greenfield teams, we were delighted to welcome girls representing Micklehurst, Glodwick, Stayley, Woodhouses, Shaw and Middleton.

It was brilliant to see so many young girls enjoying their cricket, making new friends and representing their clubs. The talent, enthusiasm and smiles on show made it a fantastic day — and it certainly bodes well for the future of women’s cricket across all of these clubs! 👏🏏

A huge thank you to P. Mullaney & Sons Ltd for sponsoring the medals 🏅 and to Councillor Helen Bishop for her support of GCC girls’ team.

And finally, a massive thank you to all of our volunteers who gave up their time and helped make the day such a success. These events simply wouldn’t happen without you. 💙
