Well done to our good friend Solomon Dubois in winning the GB title today!

The show keeps rolling on with seven boxers out in seven days!
The final two bouts came on Thursday and Saturday, with both boxers continuing our victorious run. Massive well done to Great, who travelled to Collyhurst Boxing Club and beat their home boxer in emphatic style on Thursday night.
Andy then made the trip to Bradford for his second bout in just six days and produced another outstanding performance, stopping the home fighter in the second round!
These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment of everyone involved at the club. The future is looking bright!

What a win last Saturday for former Oldham Boxing & Personal Development Centre boxer Jack Rafferty, also known as “The Demolition Man” In an emphatic victory over Ekow Essuman, the Oldham fighter mesmerised his opponent with relentless punch volume, sharp movement, and skilful footwork, forcing the referee to stop the contest in the 6th round. What made the performance even more impressive was that this was Jack’s first fight at welterweight, stepping up in what many viewed as a genuine 50/50 fight. A fantastic achievement and a proud moment for Oldham.

We’ve been there from the beginning watching win national titles and medaling at his first tournament for England in Germany, sharing the highs of the Joshua fight and the lows of the Usyk fight.
Privileged to have been there on Saturday night to witness what will surely go down as a classic. The contest had everything: the shock of Daniel going down in the first 10 seconds, and again in the 3rd; the awe at the punishment Wardley absorbed to the body; and the outright brutality of the entire battle.
But more importantly, both Daniel and Fabio showed immense respect for each other after the slugfest a true credit to the sport.
Thank you again Daniel and Stan for the invitation and hospitality.

Good luck to one of our home town fighters Jack Rafferty who defends his title tonight. Another champion who has graced our gym.

The “Class of ’92” who made an instant impact winning Elite titles in their very first year as seniors: Ben Whittaker, Keiron McDonald, Will Cawley, and Carl Fail ten years ago this weekend
That unforgettable weekend was stacked with talent. Among the standout competitors—many now established names in the sport—were Peter McGrail, Nick Ball, Sunny Edwards, Danny Wright, Lyndon Arthur, Chris Billam-Smith, and Liam Davies.
A glimpse of the future, all in one place.

The Senior National Elite Championship victory wasn’t luck  it was planned, built, and earned long before the season even began.

Will  who we nicknamed “The Ghost with a Hammer”  embodied everything we stand for. Inspired by the great Jimmy Wilde, his style blended elusive movement with real, damaging power.

Our coaching philosophy has always centred on movement, but never at the expense of strength. That balance was ingrained into the programme all year round, with outstanding strength and conditioning support from Tommy Moo.

We left nothing to chance. The preparation was completed with a two-week training camp in Dublin alongside the 2016 Irish Olympic team. There, Will gained invaluable experience sparring Olympic medallists Paddy Barnes and Pat Conlon  rounds that sharpened every edge of his game.

I’ll say it without hesitation: no one entered the 2016 Elite Championships better prepared than Will Cawley.
This was more than a win it was the result of vision, structure, and relentless commitment.

Time flies… 10 years ago, Will Cawley cemented his place as arguably one of the finest to come through the GB programme.
At just 18, stepping into his first senior contest straight into the quarter-finals against a seasoned opponent no easing in, no shortcuts. Then battling through a bad cut in the semi-finals and still going on to take the Elite Championship in style.
That’s grit. That’s class. That’s Oldham Boxing.
