Anyone up for Bird watching in my home town.

The Western Reef Heron has been spotted in Y Foryd,Caernarfon, North Wales last week.

It’s a medium sized coastal heron found in western Africa, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Indian Ocean coast, and parts of South Asia.

Wonder how it ended up in Caernarfon. !!!

If you are interested to go bird watching and be an ornithologist for the day do get in touch with us, we can organise a trip to Wales.

Stars had a fantastic day out today having enjoyed playing in the Eid Reunion cup against Oldham Oldham king Riders day after Eid.

We also proudly introduced our own personalised white cricket ball on the field having our club logo on the match ball.

Nice to share pictures of the ball as well as with the winning team members Nahid (69 runs) and Robi (41 runs) who we call our own cricketing family.

We might also have unearthed our future opening batters who will be pretty much explosive once they start going. Thank you to Shipon Miah (24 runs) and Syed Monsur (48runs) —— where did this game plan come from.

Also not to mention huge thanks to Shahjahan Chowdhury who took the gloves, didn’t realise he was born for wicket keeping.

Two Stars re-united

Oldham Stars today invited Beeston Stars from Leeds in a friendly match where old friends finally met after a very long time.

Result wasn’t the matter here.

“Today was more than just a game,
it was a wonderful gathering of two teams brought together through friendship, sportsmanship, and a shared love for the sport.
It was great to see friends meeting, playing, laughing, and enjoying every moment of this friendly match both on and off the field.

Events like these remind us that sports are not only about competition, but also about building connections, respect, and unforgettable memories together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, supported, organized, and cheered for the teams.

Your presence, energy, and enthusiasm made the day truly special.

We appreciate the effort and spirit shown by every player, and we look forward to many more friendly matches and moments like this in the future…..

Stars have been busy of late hence not much of an update for you guys.

Anyways a lot has happened since the beginning of the season. There is a new saying that Reform is on it’s way. 😎

Starting with a few friendly defeats sandwiched between one or two wins then playing in the OSO tournament having played 2 losing 2 against Oldham Sporting and Rochdale Tigers CC respectively the tide seem to be turning for the better for the Stars.

It’s not easy to blend in quarter of the team
In such a short space of time but last couple of games has shown that Stars have the mentality to mix it with the best teams in Oldham.

I am so proud of the team specially in todays defeat the way they fought till the end to lose by 7 runs.
In fairness Rochdale Tigers had couple of the best bowlers on show who just about took it away from the Stars. It was such an enthralling match today, it was difficult to predict who will come out as winners, believe me it was that close.

So happy though for the boys, and a well deserved win for Rochdale Tigers. The game was played in such a friendly manner you literally have to take your hats off for both the teams.

The only blot was one of our openers who was accidentally hit his elbow with the ball, he had to go to the A&E to get it X-rayed to find out he has fractured his elbow, please all pray for him so that he has a very speedy recovery. Get well soon Ikramul Hoque.

Thank you to Rochdale Tigers who constantly have been phoning and messaging us to find out about Ikramul’s condition.

We really appreciate the concern your team is showing,
This shows it is a Gentleman’s game and we all look out for each other in illness and in health.

Please also pray for Shumon Ahmed who dislocated his finger whilst taking a match winning catch last week. Get well soon champ.

Anyways it was a well deserved win for you today. I am sure we will face many battles during the course of the season.
