What an amazing start it's been to our 2025 summer football & multi sports camps 😄🙌👍

Each day has been action packed full of lots of sports, activities and games.

Amazing work from Scott and all the guys at this fantastic charity organisation 👏 It's reassuring to know this defibrillator is within a stone throw from our MICA FOOTBALL PERFORMANCE Unit. Proud to be a sponsor 🙌

❤️❤️ Defibrillator Commissioned : Burnage Mill, High Crompton ❤️❤️

Tonight, a brilliant team of Heart Heroes came together to officially commission the new life-saving defib at Burnage Mill in High Crompton!

🚴‍♀️ Front and centre is the incredible Sarah Shipton , who took on two gruelling cycling challenges to raise the funds that made this defib possible. From mountains to miles, she pedalled with heart, and what a result!

💥 Huge thanks to not one, but two amazing local businesses who have stepped up to sponsor the upkeep of this essential piece of kit:

Both are within metres of the defib itself, local support at its finest!

💥 Let’s not forget our volunteer Heart Hero electrician, who gives up his time to professionally install these cabinets and safely connect them to power. It may be a small cable, but it makes a massive difference – especially in the cold months to keep the unit from freezing!

👀 On ongoing watch will be Jane Rawlings Training Consultancy, one of our dedicated Trustees and defib guardians, who’ll make sure it’s always rescue-ready and visible to North West Ambulance Service when it matters most.

🏢 And a huge thanks to Ronnie, who kindly gave us permission to mount this defib on the side of this stunning old mill – and is also covering the power costs to keep it warm and working when needed most.

👏 This is what community looks like. From fundraising to fixing, checking to championing, it takes a whole team to save a life.

💛 Thank you all – this defib could truly change someone’s tomorrow.
