WrestleZone Training Academy Learn to wrestle at the WrestleZone Training Academy based in Aberdeen, Scotland, creating the next generation of stars for WrestleZone Scotland.

The WrestleZone Training Academy is located in Aberdeen, Scotland, near to Aberdeen Beach and Footdee. New students are always welcome to join us as they begin their journey into the world of pro-wrestling. Applications are now open to anyone who wishes to become part of north-east Scotland's premier wrestling promotion. Whether your goals are for fitness, fun, just as a hobby, or to climb as high up the wrestling ladder as possible, we can help you take the first steps towards achieving those. We currently offer:
Full weekly pro-wrestling training classes for anyone aged 16+
A weekly youth pro-wrestling class for anyone aged 14 and 15

People of all genders are welcome, with no previous experience necessary, only the willingness, commitment and dedication to improve your fitness and skills as you progress with your training. Membership fees are only £35 p.c.m. Classes take place on Monday to Friday evenings between 6.30 and 9.00 pm. The Academy gives students the opportunity to discover the fundamentals of professional wrestling, providing you with all the skills, knowledge and tools to be a successful WrestleZone star. Training will focus on:
- Physical safety and body control
- Fitness and cardio work
- Rolling and bumping
- Ring awareness and positioning
- Fundamental pro-wrestling techniques, including grappling and striking
- Character and verbal skills

Training is delivered by experienced coaches from the regular WrestleZone roster, including Scotty Swift and Bryan Tucker. Most of our regular WZ talent pool took their first steps in wrestling via the Academy, including Crusher Craib, Aspen Faith, Mr P, Zach Dynamite, Caleb Valhalla and many more. If your application is successful, you will be start off with a four-week induction class where you will learn those initial basic skills and allow our coaches to assess your suitability for pro-wrestling training. The Academy also hosts one-off seminars with past guests including WWE Hall of Famer "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, UK wrestling legend Doug Williams, ROH Champion Jay Lethal, Ireland's Bingo Ballance, and notable UK stars like Andy Wild, Joe Hendry, Jack Jester and more, all helping to pass on the required skills to the next generation. Hail to the Beef King!

It's been just over a week now since Aberdeen Anarchy 2026 rocked the Granite City and we've all just about recovered from an amazing evening of wrestling action!

One person who certainly enjoyed last weekend is the brand new WrestleZone Undisputed Champion, Bruiser Brad Evans 💪

The Beef King's pro-wrestling career began right here in Aberdeen and all of us at the WZ Training Academy are immensely proud to see another homegrown mainstay of our live event roster reach the top of the mountain.

It was a great pleasure to host a seminar ahead of Aberdeen Anarchy 2026 with our special guest - former WWE superstar Rhino!

The former ECW Heavyweight Champion made time in his packed schedule to pass on the knowledge of nearly 30 years of competition to our Academy members.

It's been an eventful year here in WrestleZone!

We are about to start our last week of training of 2025 with plenty of trainees looking to end the year on a high. Well done to everyone for their efforts over the last 12 months!

We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the latest achievements of two wrestlers who started out at the Academy with a "hey, why not, let's see what happens" mindset, and went on to become incredibly valued parts of the WZ roster.

At Christmas Chaos, Rhys Dawkins became a champion for the first time in his career when he 'cashed in' his guaranteed title match contract to win the WrestleZone Tag Team Titles alongside Bryan Tucker.

Then later that night, Ryan Riley won his first ever singles title, adding the Tri-Counties championship to two previous tag title reigns when he successfully ended the long run of Umar Mohammed.

Zach Dynamite is a homegrown success story and we couldn't be prouder of all that he has achieved in the ring. We wish him all the very best for everything still to come.
