A massive congratulations to our ladies team for finishing their season in style winning the Devon Women Soft Ball League Cup beating Paignton Cricket Club in the semi final by 47 runs followed by a 32 run win against Cullompton CC in the final.

🏏 | Presidents Day 2026

Today marked the first presidents day since the recent forming of our club and what a day it was. Ran as a T20 fixture made up of senior players within the club, one team was managed by our chairman Mark Fogerty & the other our president Roy Page.

Batting first, the chairman’s XI racked up an impressive 226-5 with Jonny King (53) & Leon Horn (52) both blasting 50s and retiring. Standout bowlers for the presidents XI were Ryan Hodge & Paul Alford who both took 2 wickets a piece. Similarly to the first innings, there were 2 players who smashed half centuries as Andrew Brimacombe (52) & Toby Gostling (50) with both also retiring. It left a tense finish with the presidents XI needing 18 off the last over but some tight bowling from Brad Curtis (1-15 off 3 overs) meant the chairman’s XI won by 14 runs.

🏏| Presidents Day 2026

Calling everybody involved at the club to come and join us at The Millaton Ground, Bridestowe on Sunday 30th August to celebrate another fantastic season as well as to thank all sponsors for their continued support throughout the year.

The ladies will kick the day off with a T20 fixture followed by a 40 over game captained by club president Roy Page & chairman Mark Fogerty. The bar will be open all day as well as a BBQ running throughout.🦌🦊

So close to 3 out of 3 Tolchards Devon Cricket League wins on Saturday as the first & second teams recorded important wins whilst the third team narrowly lost an exciting game.

Standouts with the bat were Tom Pengelly & Andy Yates who both knocked up 50s & Callum Mallett stood out with the ball taking 4 wickets in the second team win.🦌🦊
