So after 18 months in the planning 3 days of tough riding covering 275 miles and 17000ft of climbing going through 7 counties, 6 areas of natural beauty and 1 national park we are finally home! To arrive back and see Darren, our families and friends cheering us in was so good, thank you!

It has been an amazing ride made even better that we have been able to help an amazing person and his family!

We all thank you for your support and generosity it will make such a difference to Darren's family. So please if you haven't donated and can spare some money please do donate.

Now it is time for a long bath and think back on an amazing adventure that we have been on.

We have made it to the Hamble now a little ferry across the river and on to the big finish. The wind was strong over the New Forest so we are not going to get Chichester till 1800hrs.

Just arrived in Fordingbridge, today's halfway point and the start of the new forest. Nearly there!

So the last day has arrived! It's been an amazing journey. I have the beacon up to follow the guys on their last stint across the new forest (can get some nasty headwind out there!). After 100 miles yesterday, I am heading out for a slightly shorter ride today, before heading off after lunch to meet the guys at Hamble to finish the last part of the ride together. Thanks again everyone for the support it has kept us all going. I know it will be needed today! 🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴👊

Good morning on the final day of our ride! We are all heavy legged but no injuries and keen to get back home.

Today we leave Yeovil heading across the New Forest through Southampton then along the coast to Chichester.

We are hoping to get into Chichester at 1700hrs but there is a headwind so to friends and family coming to meet us please check for updates in case we are late!!

Day 2 completed, again a very tough day with tired legs from yesterday. We rode 76 miles with 6500ft of climbing.

Some stunning scenery but not many photos taken, I think that shows how tired we were and it was head down, get to Yeovil!

A lovely nandos to refuel before getting our heads down for the final day tomorrow

Good morning from a lovely hotel just outside Okehampton. Not quite the clear blue sky we had yesterday but it is looking like the weather will be kind to us for one more day!

Once we have filled up with breakfast and fixed the only puncture from yesterday that happened on the driveway to the hotel! We will be setting off on a 76 mile ride along the top of dartmoor, into Exeter then across to yeovil. Easy!!

You have donated an amazing amount so far but if you haven't and would like to help Darren you can do so here-

Day 1 complete for me, 98 Miles in total, but less slopes than the guys had to face. Must have been brutal getting out of Lands End, and I'm not having to put up with Nigels Whistling in the evening either so win win for me 😂 I feel for you guys. See you on day 2!

An amazing but brutal day in the saddle! In total we have completed 101 miles and climbed 8880ft! That really is massive achievement. We are feeling it now but at a lovely pub in Bridestow to replace the calories.

Hopefully get a good night's sleep and then tomorrow onto Yeovil.

Again your support has been amazing, it really does help.

Now to have a well earned beer!

Thin Blue Solo Ride - Day 1, Ride 1: For those that don't know, I am having to stay local to look after our recently acquired rescue dog, whilst Nigel mans the support van. Will be meeting up with the guys on Monday for the final leg, but started getting the miles in this morning and plan on matching the team mile for mile. Thanks everyone for all the support. https://strava.app.link/bkNMTPUVsjb
