The squad is back in action this Sunday as we travel to familiar rivals and local neighbours Crediton Women for our second pre season friendly 🔥

After a great pre-season, the team can’t wait to get back out on the pitch, with plenty of familiar faces joined by some exciting new additions ready to hit the field! 💪

All travelling support is very welcome- come and get behind the Oke’s 🙌🏻

We are ready for another exciting season, with two pre-season friendlies coming up, followed by our biggest challenge yet in Championship South West 2! 🔥

With 16 league fixtures running from September through to April, there’s plenty of games to come and support the team at including some exciting local derby matches against Cullompton and Launceston.

🏉 GAME CANCELLED 🏉

Unfortunately, this Sunday’s pre-season fixture against Yeovil has been cancelled due to our opposition being unable to field enough players.

It’s a disappointing outcome for the squad, especially with a strong Oke’s team ready and raring to go, but our focus now turns to next Sunday’s pre-season clash away to local rivals Crediton🔥

We wish Yeovil all the best for the season ahead and hopefully we’ll get the chance to meet again soon 🤝

We’re back in action this Sunday as we welcome familiar rivals Yeovil for our second pre-season friendly! 🔥

📍Please note this game is being held at Ashbury.

Our last meeting saw the Oke’s come away with a dominant win, but we’re expecting another exciting battle as we continue preparations for Championship 2 South West💪

Come down, get behind the Oke’s and make some noise from the sidelines! 🙌🏻

🏉 MORE PRE-SEASON ACTION INCOMING! 🏉

With the start of our competitive league campaign postponed due to the continued dry conditions and hard pitches, we’ve added two more exciting pre-season fixtures- both against familiar rivals from last season! 💪

We welcome Yeovil back to the Showground next Sunday, with both clubs fielding a mixture of players from their squads. For us, it’s another fantastic opportunity for our 1st XV and Development Team to gain valuable game time ahead of the new season.

The following weekend we make the short trip to Crediton for a Devon derby and another great test before the league campaign gets underway! 🔥

As always, your support makes a huge difference to the team, so we’d love to see plenty of you on the sidelines both home and away🙌🏻

🏉 INTRODUCING OUR 2026/27 COACHING TEAM! 🏉

With a wealth of experience and knowledge across our coaching team, we’re certainly in safe hands once again as we prepare for the challenge of a new season at a higher level💪

Head Coach Tom Powell looks ahead to the season:

“Following the last few years of continued success, the priority is to establish ourselves at this higher level and ensure we can compete consistently, whilst staying true to our game plan.

We’re particularly looking forward to testing ourselves against Cullompton, who, to their credit, have been setting the standard for women’s rugby in Devon for some time. We’re also excited to finally lock horns with local rivals Launceston, who successfully established themselves at this level last season.

Beyond results, we want to develop a stronger, more competitive squad, integrate new talent and give opportunities to emerging players, all whilst maintaining the identity and standards that have brought us to this point.

A major goal is to continue developing our pathway, with the aim of having a second XV competing regularly by this time next year.

Reaching this level so quickly has been a fantastic achievement, and I’d like to thank all the supporters, volunteers and players for their involvement and effort.

We have a great group of women, and I’m excited about the season ahead and the future of women’s rugby at ORFC.”

We’re delighted to announce our leadership team for the upcoming season as we prepare for an exciting new challenge in Women’s Championship South West 2!

👑 Captain- Becky Dennis
Back for her fifth season as captain, Becky has led the side through an incredible three consecutive league promotions and will now lead the Oke’s into Women’s Champ 2! A huge thank you to WRT Fencing,Landscaping & Groundworks for sponsoring Becky this season! 👏

💪 Vice-Captain- Jo McBain
Returning for her second season with the Oke’s, Jo steps into the vice-captaincy role for the first time. Jo is currently available to sponsor, if you or your business would like to support her this season, please get in touch!

🔥 Vice-Captain- Jenna Bierton
Back for her third season, Jenna also joins the leadership team as vice-captain and is proudly sponsored by We Missed The Memo Podcast. Thank you for your support!
