For the past four years, a team of ten Welsh Parkinson’s golfers have participated in the Sport Parkinson’s Four Nations Golf Tournament at The Belfry. The Welsh team have won the tournament twice - the only team to do so!

Phil Howe captained the team on the second victory; and is joining the team again this year, along with fellow members Mark Williams & Kevin Bywater.

Team Wales are fundraising for 2026, where all the money raised will go towards Sport Parkinson's & Sandville Self Help Foundation - encouraging others battling Parkinson's to 'keep active & strong 'til a cure comes along'.

Steffan Cole wins the 2026 Devil's Own Bowl 🏆

After a couple of days of heavy rain and wind, a break in the weather greeted all the players playing in the Bank Holiday Monday Devils Own Bowl. Steffan Cole scores 41 points to win, claiming victory by 3 points.

The 2026 Derrick King Charity Day raises over £7000 for Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising

Congratulations to all winners - with a top score of 88pts!

The superb generosity of everyone means the list is too long to give individual thank yous - but massive support from many local businesses, members & visitors alike - all much appreciated!

And to Club Captain Steve Roberts & Vice Captain Jamie Keddle for their hard work, Velindre Ambassador & Director of Course Julian Kelly - and to all those that smoothly operated the welcome desk & halfway house.

And not to forget FRF Motors who once again provided a Peugeot 208 as a hole-in-one prize on the 7th - unfortunately no takers this time!!
