And it’s a Clipper wrap…surprisingly a very emotional day! Wonderful seeing old friends, remembering the highs and lows. I walked around the boat on my own, in silence, and took time to remember some details that I had forgotten. Smelling the familiar smells again, feeling the confined spaces again, remembering the camaraderie.
Bye Unicef! Bye Clipper! ❤️

After 3 years the that I joined leaving Tower Bridge 3 years ago finally arrived back in London today. Bitter sweet, for if the pandemic hadn’t happened I would have been on the last leg sailing into London. I would have stood on that boat, waving and smiling to the crowds and feeling accomplished and proud, after many days of hard sailing, uncomfortable sleeping and no showers.
So proud of the team that accomplished the race despite the unexpected hardships thrown into their path. Missing the team mates that weren’t here today. You know who you are. ❤️ Go Unicef! Well done!

So proud to receive this wonderful children’s book, written by my friend and fellow Clipper Race sailor! you are such a badass...while most people (me!) sat around during lockdown, you went off and created a book about your adventures! Proud of ya! Will always treasure it!

One year ago today.....off we we went to cross an ocean 🌊 I remember how I was feeling so much... emotional after saying goodbyes, excited to start this adventure after months and months of preparations and a bit anxious of the challenges we’d face.

If COVID-19 hadn’t hit, I would have been on the starting my Leg 8 adventure, sailing from New York back over the Atlantic to the UK. Today we would have been arriving in Bermuda....feeling an ache in my heart today, longing to be back out sailing and reunited with my clipper family. 1 year to go....
