Class Focus - Tuesday ๐พ๐
4pm-4:45pm (P1 Tennis)
Similar to P1 Football on Mondays, this is a brand new class to allow new Primary School children to have dedicated time a week to work on their tennis skills. At this stage a lot of work goes into simple hand-eye co-ordination as without it, tennis can prove to be difficult. Starting off at 45 minutes, your child will be taught the basics of tennis, from how to handle the racket properly, progressing all the way to being able to effectively rally.
4pm-5pm (P2-3 Athletics)
Athletics is something that we've watched grow massively in the last year here in Atlantis Leisure. The number of children we are offering Athletics to each week has more than doubled since 2021 and still shows signs of continuing to grow. At this age, we are slowly shifting the focus from fun games to Athletics Events (Fun Games are absolutely still involved, don't worry) but we spend a little bit more time showing them different activities within athletics, including long jump, triple jump, (foam) javelin, shot putt, speed bounce and several different running events and many more.
We are hoping to run our first ever Atlantis Athletics Championships later on this year, so if it's something that your child is interested in (even if they're not attending a class) then keep your eyes open for further detail.
Thank you to everyone for your uptake in all our classes, old and new. We are excited to get back to the normality of our daily sports programme with all your children. As always, please e-mail [email protected] for bookings and enquiries.
Thanks,
Kevin Keen
