This week has been filled with valuable experiences and lessons during the Exercise Highlands Express in Scotland.
The exercise involved the crew sailing through six legs. The first leg took them from Dunstaffnage Marina to Oban, navigating windy and rainy weather. The second leg involved a 12-hour sail from Oban to Port Ellen under impeccable weather conditions. The following day, they sailed from Port Ellen to the picturesque bay of Tayvallich, and the next day to Craobh Haven. Today, they have come alongside at Oban Marina and will conclude their final leg tomorrow to where they first started, Dunstaffnage marina.
Despite the seasickness, unfavorable weather, and engine problems, I would eagerly seize the next opportunity to go sailing again. It was an amazing experience shared with truly remarkable people.
Would you give it a shot?
