Both held at the Westerdale and Rosedale Estate.

The Yorkshire Sporting Spaniel are excited to announce our Novice and Open AV spaniel working tests on 20th June 2026.

Judges: Martyn Elliott (B panel) and Lucie Lowe (NP)

Test will be held in bracken. Location is Sheffield, S18 area. A what3words location will be sent to those attending once runs have been confirmed.

The tests will be limited to 20 entries per stake, and a draw will be held in the event of over subscription.

Members and non members welcome, but members will get preference in case of a draw.

Entries should be emailed to our Working Test Secretary, Alice Fox - [email protected]. Entry forms can be downloaded from our website (link in comments).

Anyone looking to join as a member can do so via downloading the membership form from our website and contacting our membership secretary Barbra Lowndes - [email protected]

Member - £12:00
Non member - £20.00

The details of the YSSC 2026 AGM has been sent out to all paid up members for which we have an up to date email address.

This will take place on the 27th April 2026.

A polite reminder to all members that membership subs were due on 01/02/2026. The fees remain the same as the previous year.

£10.00 for a single member
£12.00 for joint membership
£8.00 for junior membership
£8.00 for gamekeeper membership

The club asks all members to check and ensure their subs are paid promptly.

If payment for membership renewal isn’t made by 30th April 2026 at the latest, the YSSC reserves the right the charge a £10.00 re-joining fee, as set out in the clubs’ constitution.

The Yorkshire Sporting Spaniel Club held its 2025 16 dog Open stake for AV Spaniels exc. cockers today.

The trial was held at Huttons Ambo Estate, by kind permission of Mrs. C. Jennys and her head Gamekeeper, Mr. E. Harland.

A big thank you to today’s Judges - Mr. R. Kay & Mr. J. Dransfield.

Thank you to the guns, helpers and to all of the handlers for supporting the club.

Also, a special thank you to our sponsors VetSpec, Field and Fireside, & Pureflax who provided some lovely prizes for those in the awards. We’re very proud to work with three amazing Yorkshire businesses.
