🏉 IT ALL BEGINS AGAIN TOMORROW!

A new season starts tomorrow for our Oakham RFC Minis & Juniors, and we can’t wait to see everyone back at the Showground.

Training gets underway from 10am, with all the fun, teamwork and rugby that comes with a Sunday morning at Oakham RFC.

Thinking about giving rugby a go? New players are always welcome, with three FREE taster sessions available. Come along, meet the coaches and teammates and see what being part of Oakham RFC is all about.

And with the new season beginning, it’s also the perfect time to get the kit sorted.

Our Kit Shop will be open at the clubhouse tomorrow, alongside the full range available to order online – from playing kit to training wear and leisurewear.

New season. New kit. Same Oakham rugby family.

What a night at Oakham RFC!

The celebrations are well and truly underway as Emma Gant celebrates her birthday with us at the clubhouse.

Great music, line dancing, plenty of cowboy hats and, most importantly, a clubhouse full of people having a brilliant time.

A very Happy Birthday from everyone at Oakham RFC, Emma. We hope you and all your guests have a fantastic evening!

⚠️ REMINDER – COMMUNITY OPEN DAY CANCELLED

Just a reminder that the Oakham RFC Community Open Day planned for tomorrow, Saturday 5 September, has been cancelled following the delayed start to the rugby season.

Please help us spread the word to anyone who may have been planning to attend.

There’s still plenty happening at the club this weekend though.

🏉 Saturday – Our First XV take on East Leake RFC in a pre-season friendly at the Showground. Kick-off 2.30pm.

🏉 Sunday – Minis & Juniors training is back. Arrive from 10am ready for a 10.30am start.

👕 The Kit Shop will also be open on Sunday morning, so it’s the perfect opportunity to get everything sorted for the new season.

Thank you for your understanding regarding the Community Open Day, and we look forward to seeing plenty of the Oakham rugby family at the club over the weekend.

🏉 FIRST XV SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT

Head Coach Jamie Ray has announced his squad for tomorrow’s pre-season friendly against East Leake Rugby Club at the Showground.

A strong squad will take the field as preparations continue ahead of the delayed league campaign, with valuable game time and an opportunity to build towards the season ahead.

Come down and get behind the lads for our first run-out of the new season.

🍳🏉 COULD YOU GIVE OAKHAM RFC A FEW HOURS OF YOUR TIME? 🖤💛

Grassroots rugby clubs don't run on rugby alone. Behind every busy Sunday morning, matchday and training session are people giving a little bit of their time to make it happen.

We’re looking for volunteers to help our kitchen team — and you certainly don’t need to be a chef!

There are plenty of ways to help: preparing simple food, serving, making drinks, washing up, getting things ready or even taking the lead in the kitchen on a shift.

Give us a few hours when you can, meet some great people and help us serve our members and visitors while raising vital funds that go straight back into Oakham RFC.

And as a little thank you, volunteers receive a meal and drink during their shift.

🏉 REVISED 2026/27 FIXTURES

Following the delayed start to the league season, we now have our revised Oakham RFC 1st XV fixture list for 2026/27.

Our league campaign will now get underway on Saturday 26th September, with a trip to South Leicester, before we welcome Stamford College Old Boys to the Showground on Saturday 3rd October for our first home league fixture of the season. 🖤💛

Plenty of rugby to look forward to between now and April – get the new dates in your diary and come along to support the lads throughout the season.
