🖤💛 Vice Captain 2026/27 💛🖤

We are delighted to announce Nathan Gardener continues as one of Oakham RFC's Vice Captains for the 2026/27 season.

Nathan has been a key figure within the squad and his commitment, leadership and passion for the club make him a natural choice to continue in the role. Leading by example on and off the field, he will play an important role as the club prepares for the new season.

Speaking about his appointment, Nathan said:

"I'm really excited for the upcoming rugby season and proud to carry on the role of vice captain. We've been working hard in preparation for pre-season, and I'm looking forward to seeing that effort pay off on the pitch when we get together on the 9th July! I'm excited to contribute to the team's success, support my teammates, and take on the challenges ahead as we aim to make this a memorable and successful season."

Congratulations Nathan on your appointment as Oakham RFC Vice Captain for the 2026/27 season.

We look forward to seeing Nathan help lead the squad into what promises to be another exciting year in black and amber.

All members are encouraged to attend our Annual General Meeting on Monday 6th July at 7pm in the clubhouse.

The AGM is your opportunity to hear about the past year, learn about plans for the season ahead, and have your say in the future direction of the club.

Whether you're a player, parent, volunteer, coach, supporter or social member, your input matters. Oakham RFC continues to grow because of the people who give their time, ideas and support to the club.

Join us on Tuesday 16th June at at 5:30pm to support Lewis Moody and friends at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on their cycle from Newcastle down to Allianz Stadium for the Gallagher PREM final for the Lewis Moody XV Cycle Challenge in support of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

This will be followed by a Q&A to hear their stories and experiences.

Missing rugby already? Looking for a run around, some fitness and a chance to catch up with teammates and friends?

Our Summer Touch Rugby sessions continue tonight at Oakham RFC, with players from across the club coming together for a fun, fast-paced evening of rugby.

✅ Non-contact rugby
✅ Open to U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s, Colts, Seniors & Vets
✅ Men and Women welcome
✅ Great for fitness, skills and staying connected during the off-season

Whether your child is completely new to rugby or already loves the game, there has never been a better time to become part of the Oakham RFC family.

Our Season Opening Community Day takes place on Saturday 5th September and is the ideal opportunity for new players and families to come along, meet our coaches, get to know future teammates, explore the club and see what Oakham RFC is all about.

From our youngest Minis through to our older Junior age groups, we pride ourselves on providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment where boys and girls can learn, develop and make friends for life.
