Nisa - midweek Open Matches

Nisa - midweek Open Matches Angling matches every Wednesday throughout the year on Lake Two at Makins Fishery Book in by paying entry fee 10 minutes before advertised draw time.

Draw and fishing times as advertised on the match list (5 hours fishing in winter, 6 in summer). Entry Fee £25 per match (all in) £15 of which paid out as 'pools', payable before draw. Correct money please. Rolling draw between stated times, pay, draw and go to peg. Beverages and bait available for purchase at venue. Toilet facilities at main car park. Angling Trust & Fishery rules apply to all ma

tches. Minimum of 2 keep nets for each match, all carp in one, all silvers in the other. It is advisable to take at least three/four nets. All keep nets to be opened out on bank from arrival at peg until 5 minutes before match. Anglers to lift own nets to put fish into weigh nets, one weigh only per net with a 60 lbs net limit (anything in net over the limit will not count). Only fishery pellets (sold on site) as feed pellets. Any ground-bait, hook pellets, paste. Barbless hooks only, maximum size 10. No floating or surface baits. No fishing after final whistle (except 15 minutes to land previously hooked fish after shouting 'fish on' at whistle. No feeding with pole pot whilst fishing a rod. No feeders to be cast before start of match.

REPORT
Todays Match was a grey and damp day with most people struggling to catch early
“Edge” caught most of his fish late on paste for 150lbs 08oz just pipping
Paul Reynolds into second with his mainly late caught pellet fish for 150lbs 03oz
Third was Shaun W**d with his pellet caught fish for 144lbs 13oz
Fourth was Gaz Kitch who caught a few fish from the island then had to wait for three hours for the fish to turn up in the margins

With a warm and dry day despite a forecast of rain everyone caught fish
Todays winner Andy Findlay (Preston Innovations / Sonu Baits) Caught all his fish on the feeder from the island and later from his margin for a total of 268lbs 08oz on peg B15
Second place Tony Brookes Caught on feeder, Bomb and pellet, sinking wag for 153lbs 06oz from peg B17
Third place Paul Reynolds was also on the B Bank for his mainly late caught 133lbs 09 oz peg B13
Gaz kitch just pipped Dave Alewood for Fourth place , Dave recording his first 100Lbs+ weight
With 121lbs 15oz for fifth place

Results from todays lake 2 extravigansa ..
With lots away on holiday 9 rocked up and the wheel of death did its thing.. 4 pegs on a bank and 5 on b..
Pegged tp try and allow nets to get into deeper water due to the low water levels..

Top bombing from John Lack with a double ton off in form peg a6 - second was edge off a20 with 170 caught on bomb and paste and 3rd was john lBrandrick with 150 odd off b 19 paid winner and 2 sections.. back to gaz to run next weeks match.. see full results...

With another very hot day forecast and water levels down the match was reduced to 5 hours
This did not stop Andy Findlay giving us all another fine display of method feeder fishing for a match winning 246lbs
Second place Tony Brookes caught on waggler ;method ;sinking waggler third place Nick Proctor caught mainly on the method in his first Nisa midweek open
