As another month flies by I cant help but think that karma has had a part to play over the last few days, as I both reflect on what has been an amazing few weeks whilst I nurse a good dose of Covid for the bank holiday - yes, its still a thing!!
August was filled with sunshine. Weekends with my beautiful girl, soaking it up, relaxing in the garden and making the most of what seemed like never ending heat.
Of course, August marked GCSE results day and the legend did not disappoint. 9s, 8s and equivalents coming out of his ears meant we enrolled him onto his college courses with ease, with only 12 months of hard work before we start his military application. With Tom doing well and preparing for deployments too, I could not be more proud of my two Diddy men. Amazing guys.
Off we went to Rome for a long weekend which was incredible. A first trip for the legend and in keeping up with tradition, a daily walk of over 15miles average meant a lot of gelato was consumed in reward!
Tom set off on a voyage of discovery around Europe for 10 days! Two squaddies in a hatch back (Im sure there's a book somewhere in that title!)...what could go wrong!
There was the inevitable travel for work, which means long days and longer evenings but I love it. Getting out again and working with people instead of "WFH".....bring back office working!!!..And to finish off, what should have been an amazing weekend at Dubs of Rock Festival with my beautiful girl, ending in torrential rain, screaming children, a decision to go home two days early and a subsequent weekend on the couch nursing a headache a fever!
September....lets bring it on!!
