What a fantastic session tonight.
A Hyrox inspired circuit for the team to challenge themselves on, working upper body, core, lower body, heart and lungs.
The team absolutely smashed it. Guys, give yourself a pat on the back!
Looking forward to Tuesday night in the park.

Health and Wellbeing doesn't have to be a constant slog of sweaty runs and pushing weights.
I've had a long, hard week and the last thing I wanted to do was hit the gym today. So with dog as my no.2 I set out on a good old walk. 6 miles in, the weather was amazing, music through the buds and I was in my happy place. Back home for a cup of tea and good zone 1/2 session completed. 2hrs on foot, lots of steps, plenty of calories burned and the best part, it didn't even feel like a training session.
Enjoy being fit and healthy guys. In the end, thats all anyone wants.
Have a great weekend.

Well that couldn't have turned out any better!
The elections tonight meant we were outside but that didn't dampen the mood and effort of this great team I train every week.
Lot of heart and lungs tonight. 200m run dictating the time that partners are working in the middle. Upper, core and lower body workout put the team through their paces! Lots of smiles and laughs.
A fantastic night of circuit training.

A nice pic of myself and David Saunders before we both headed out on the Coventry Half Marathon last week. There wasnt as many smiles on the during and after shots! This morning's Marathon made me reflect on the run last week. Not the same I know, but for me, it was my first test of my left leg after breaking it last year, and it (just about) made it round! No real time recorded for me but Dave had a fantastic run on what was a gorgeous, warm morning.
On to the next, Leamington Half Marathon in June.
Good luck to those still running, and well done to those who have finished the marathon today. Everyone has their challenges and reasons for running it. Some very personal and some not but every one as inspiring as the other 💪💪

What a great week!
The first outdoor session on Tuesday evening, followed by a busy evening at the Jubilee Sports Centre for a HIIT session.
As always the team smashed it.
We welcomed a new team member, Chelsea, who did amazingly well tonight. We all hope that we see her back again next week.
Its always great to see people of all abilities enjoying movement and being part of a great group. Im really excited about where we are going and look forward to growing the team over the summer.

Good Morning!
Yes, this is me.....at 4.30am trying to motivate myself to push another set of flat bench whilst listening to thrash metal through my buds! Now I bet the only thing you took from that opening statement was "4.30am" and I can bet you're thinking, "..4.30am, whatever...." or "..he's just saying that for attention..." Well, actually, it really was 4.30am!
Why do I train that early? Lots of reasons but the main two are 1. It's the only time in my day that is truly mine, and 2. I really enjoy doing it!
The gym is quiet, and the only people in there are those that come to exercise, and that's the point of this post.
Exercise and training is very personal. For me, early morning workouts work. My body is ready, my mind is ready. I walk the mile to the gym and back while the world is waking up. I see and hear things that most peole miss. It's fantastic. Some people prefer lunchtimes, after work, last thing. Your stress levels, the day you've had, your lifestyle all have an influence on when you find the best time is for you to invest in yourself. Listen to your body and get used to working out when is best for you. When you do this, you start to enjoy it, and when you enjoy it, you become consistent. Consistency naturally brings the results. You see where i'm going here!
Exercise and wellbeing mean different things to everyone. I'm an office worker. I sit for hours at my desk through the day so exercise to me means lifting, rowing, hillwalking at weekends. For others, they may not want to put their runners on and slap the pavement for 5 miles after a hard physical day. For those, it may be a kick around in the park with children, a sports club on an evening. Whatever you do I can guarantee one thing....you'll feel so much better for doing it!
Have a great day everyone.

Our first outdoor Fitness session happened tonight and it was such a great success. The team welcomed a new member tonight, Jackie, who did amazing and threw herself into everything.
A series of upper and lower body exercises with a run in between each round, with incremental numbers of repetitions.
Being outside with the space and natural features allows me to adapt the session to accommodate the range of abilities in the group. This means that whatever you think your ability level is, you will always get a good workout.
Well done team. Looking forward to seeing you all next Tuesday for more of the same.

Outdoor sessions start Tuesday 14th April at 7pm at Bedworth Miners Park.

This isn't about the fittest person there.

It is for people who:

• Feel stuck in a work/home routine
• Know that they need to move more
• Want something structured without the pressure of the gym

Sessions are:

• Open to all abilities
• Challenging but Achievable
• Focussed on consistency, not perfection

If you are thinking that this could be for you, then it is a greatnolace to start.

A little later than usual, but wanted to share the latest pics of the session that the team smashed on Thursday night.
First night back inside, and the guys faced a challenging EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute) circuit.
Remember, 14th April and we will do our first session outside too. That will provide the team the flexibility of either a Tuesday night, Thursday night or even better, both! Looks like its going to be a great summer for the team.
