Magdala Tennis Club stands in shock and solidarity with the entire Nottingham community in the wake of the devastating events that unfolded on Tuesday 13 June. Our heartful condolences go out to the family and friends of Ian Coates and the other victims of this tragedy.

As a sign of respect, the club will be closed for the remainder of the week.

Fantastic standard of tennis today from this lot and a great boost for our club to be invited to host the TB10 in this region.

We are one of only 32 clubs nationally to host a new grassroots tennis tournament.

The TB10 Challenger Series is a fast-paced, short-form tennis format comprised solely of tie breaks – no games, no sets, just exhilarating ten- point breakers in which every point counts. The tournament will be played on Sunday 9 September at 1pm.

Entrants will be between 14 and 15-years old and the tournaments will culminate in a final to be held on Saturday 3rd November 2018. The Challenger Series will feature one tournament at each club, based on LTA ratings of up to 6.2. The Winner and Runner from each club tournament, will go through to the final and the overall winner will receive a year’s sponsorship from Wilson.
