Diolch 360AbilitySport for granting us the funding to purchase the equipment that we need to hold tournaments.

This will help us to further our mission of developing goalball across the whole of Wales so that every sight-impaired or blind child, young person or adult knows about this awesome, dynamic and inclusive sport that we love, and has a goalball Club within practical distance should they wish to participate 🔵

We are so grateful for this support and the equipment has already been put to good use.

We had an amazing day at South Wales Dragon’s Friendly Tournament in Cardiff today.
Super proud of our Ffion for winning Regional Player of the Day and all Vipers who joined in for some friendly fun.

🇬🇧 after a dramatic game against Finland this morning, where GB scored a last second winner to finish 2-1, the GB Women will take on Greece 🇬🇷 at 06:30BST on Sunday 14th June for the 9th to 12th placing game at the 2026 IBSA Goalball World Championships.

South Wales Goalball Club are very excited to be hosting a Friendly Tournament on Saturday afternoon 13 June 2026 in Cardiff. Individual players of all levels and all ages are invited to take part. It’s and we want to send a heartfelt “Diolch” to all of our awesome volunteers. To our amazing coach and assistant coach, Steve and Sarah, who give so generously of their time. To all of those who come to our training sessions to help set out the court and facilitate play. To everyone who offers a lift or brings cake for our buffet. To our Committee members and those who design posters and help with the paperwork. And to each and every one who has contributed to help us with our running costs, in sponsorship or grant form. Well we’ve had an absolute blast at the Goalball UK Regional Shield Tournament in Nottingham today.
The Welsh Viper Dragons won three out of four of our matches, coming 5th out of 12 top notch teams from across the UK.
And the icing on the cake was our Cara being crowned top female scorer of the tournament.
What a super day and so great to catch up with our friends from the goalball community across the UK.
