We’ve recently upgraded the entrance to Nottingham Hockey Centre, making it more accessible and welcoming for everyone who visits the home of hockey.
As part of the project, we’ve installed a unique custom door handle inspired by the Grays stick used by Olympic gold medallist Imran Sherwani in the 1988 Olympic final.
Sherwani scored twice, including the winning goal, as Great Britain defeated West Germany 3–1 to win Olympic gold. With the squad having trained at Nottingham Hockey Centre before the Games, it’s a proud piece of our history to celebrate.
Engraved with the words “Stick Together”, the handle is a tribute to our sport, our community, and the values that bring us together.
💬 What do you think of the new entrance? And what’s your favourite moment in hockey history?
