Hi all, it's Kelly - Paul's wife .

I know alot of you are wondering how Paul is, and I thank you all for your concerns, your kindness and care.

I said, on my last post in October that we would appreciate our privacy as Paul has a long journey ahead. But last week there was a huge infringement on Paul's privacy where someone posing as a family member rang the hospital to get personal information about him. This is not the first time this has happened, and since the last person tried to gain access to his hospital notes, I decided to keep to minimal information to everyone for the respect of my husband. Its not because I don't want anyone to know and I will happily tell anyone hes doing ok, still in hospital - but other than his immediate family no one else needs to know his medical state or personal details regarding his care.

Please be happy in the fact he's ok, he's still in hospital and will remain there for many months yet. I won't be giving anymore information other that from now on to anyone.

Once I have a better update or some progress I will eagerly update you all on this page.

I have asked Paul what he would like me to say, if he would like to speak to anyone or have someone visit - his words are No thank you, please tell them I'm in hospital, and I'm OK. So I will respect that, and I beg you to do the same.

Thank you for your support throughout this terrible time Paul has had to go through over these last 7 months.

*Update*

Paul is now out of the coma and is not requiring any life support. He is still critically ill in hospital and will be for some time.

We would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and kind words and understand people will ask for updates on his progress, but please be respectful of both Paul and his family's privacy. It is a long journey ahead and they would like to keep it as private as possible without hindrance.

Due to some changes that have been happening at the gym for recent weeks, we know some of you are upset by this.

Paul, one of our owners and main face of Hardbodies is currently critically ill in hospital. For those that have made assumptions it was a gaul stone that turned sepsis causing chronic pancreatitis, and he has been in an induced coma since 7th July. We are upset that we have had to explain this, however it is what it is.

For now, these changes are temporary we hope and until the big man is able to shout his orders at us, it will remain as is.

Thank you for your understanding, and continued support.

We hope Paul makes a swift recovery and is back in the gym as soon as possible shouting at us all to put the weights back!
