has finally launched its new red. Various leaks in the press have kept us guessing as to when we'd see it, and what exactly would change. That wait is now over.
Highlights.
Overall weight reduction to the tune of 154 grams, and is claimed to be the lightest production electric disc groupset.
Redesigned shifters/brakes levers. Improved economics, greater braking power, additional ant+ buttons, and a greater amount of reach and bit adjustability.
New machined calipers help reduce the gram count, with greater pad clearance, and look awesome.
Redesigned front mech, for a crisper, more precise, and faster shift.
Rear mech had been sculpted to reduce weight, larger pulley wheels to aid efficiency, with design cues taken from the T type derailleur.
New disc rotors, with alloy carriers help shed more weight
Even wider gear range now available with the addition of 10-36 cassette, with oil slick option 😋😋
A new chain reduces weight, and is stronger, for greater life span.
In the background there are new Zipp bars SL80 to make the most of the new shifter ergonomics as well.
We're pretty impressed with what SRAM have done here, the racers group really seems to be setting the new benchmark.
The price, well reassuringly expensive. But you don't have to splash the cash in one go. Utilising the same AXS protocols, it's backwards compatible, so if you have the original red or want to upgrade from force or rival groups you can, 1 component at a time. Complete groupset is £3000, plus chainset and cassette.

Cannondale has always been a forward thinking bike brand, making some of the most radical bikes in mountain bike history. The new Jekyll with its high pivot idler, and gravity cavity shock enclosure are no exception. 64 degree head, and 77.5 degree seat makes for a ridiculously stable bike, but make judgement, this bike will jump lines instantly.

Possibly one of the best gravel tyres for this time is year. Grips better than you think it should and the light and supple casing rolls way faster you'd think to.
