Ask a Naturist – A new podcast from Jon
Hello community!

I’m pleased to share a new project I’ve started with James (former INF Youth Officer): the Ask a Naturist podcast.
Our first episode is now live on Spotify 🎉

We’re aiming to promote naturism in a straightforward, conversational way — answering community questions, exploring the challenges naturism faces today, and hearing people’s own journeys. We already have interviews lined up with some well-known figures in the community, and would love input from members here!

Podcasting is new territory for both of us, so honest feedback is very welcome. There are a few audio rough edges in this first episode — bear with us, we’ll tighten that up quickly.

Katie Piper on Loose Women — I’m happy to say I don’t watch the show, but I did come across this on Instagram and felt it was worth sharing here.
It’s such a genuinely positive and refreshing portrayal of natural nudity in one’s own garden.

Just a heads up…

Are folks aware of this event — an evening skinny dip with optional food afterwards — on 26th June?

Apparently they ran one last year, and the next one after this is in September.
You’ll need a head torch and a buoy. Tickets start from £8.

The latest episode of BBC Radio 4’s Screenshot explores the long and often controversial history of nudity in film and television. Mark Kermode and Ellen E Jones speak with filmmakers and critics about how nakedness on screen has shifted from shock and titillation to a tool for honesty, vulnerability and storytelling.

Film critic Pamela Hutchinson discusses landmark moments in cinema and how changing cultural attitudes have shaped what audiences see. Writer director Bridgett M. Davis reflects on her 1996 film Naked Acts, which examined the pressures and expectations placed on women — especially Black women — when it comes to on screen nudity. Director Tim Mielants talks about his film Patrick, set in a nudist camp, where nudity is treated as ordinary and unremarkable.

Overall, the episode presents nudity much like social nudity advocates describe it: a state of authenticity, equality and lack of pretence, where people are simply themselves without the signals clothing can send.
