We welcome some new students on to the scheme from Lincolnshire this year.

The dance team would like to congratulate Anais & Robin for gaining a place on the next cohort of Dance4 CAT which is the Centre for Advanced Training for the East Midlands 😀

Both dancers have been with us for many years now and have work extremely hard so we are immensely proud! And we encourage any other dancers who weren’t successful to keep trying all experience is good experience! 😀

We are looking for young people aged 11-17 who are commited and passionate about dance to join our scheme from September. Come and join us this Saturday for our final Get Set Session before our annual audition in July. Get Set is an opportunity to come and see our facilities, join in a class and meet some of the CAT team. We are excited to announce the professional dance artists leading our Boys Experience Day, happening in Nottingham on Saturday 7 May 2022.

*Contemporary Dance Workshops with Stuart Goodwin.
Stuart trained at London Contemporary Dance School, he went on to dance in several international tours of Matthew Bourne’s ‘Swan Lake’ as part of his New Adventures company. He then shifted focus to more choreographic and teaching practices. He has worked at several London colleges including London Studio Centre, and The Urdang Academy, and teaches regularly on the Dance East and Dance4 CAT programmes.

*Hip-Hop Dance Workshops with Billy Keen.
Billy studied the Northern School Of Contemporary Dance and since graduating returned to his home city of Leicester where he is teaching daily at Studio 79 and working with Moving Together.
He is continuing to explore and refine his own art style of dynamic and aesthetic movement.

These experience days are a positive way to build confidence and explore new skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Whatever your previous experience of dance, you can take part in a day of workshops with inspiring artists and meet other boys with an interest in dance.

This event is FREE but an online booking form must be completed to reserve a place.
