Start of a new week already but what a brilliant week we all had back to classes last week plus all topped off with a party to thank the 'Golden Hidden Stars'. What a fabulous night and thank you to all our ' Hidden Stars'!

Soleil (who has been covering some of Alice's classes at KSTD) is in the Loughborough Town Hall panto this year. We can't wait to go and see the production. It is always excellent but with Soleil to watch and support too this is a bonus. Congratulations Soleil!

KSTD is celebrating its 50th year. In September 1976 Ann opened the school with a handful of pupils and just 1 class at 1 venue. Now in September 2026 KSTD has 250 pupils, runs over 40 weekly classes,10 different genres across 3 venues with 7 teachers.
The anniversary show back in March was a huge celebration. A reminder of the weekend in these amazing photographs captured by Michelle McCoy Photography

What a fantastic start to September with receiving such amazing exam results from our summer sessions with IDTA International Dance Teachers Association A huge well done to all our pupils and also to teachers for preparing the pupils so well. Also a thank you to the IDTA examiners who put all pupils at ease and gave them all such a good exam experience.

September brings new beginnings. We wish all our pupils all the very best of luck with new school years, schools, colleges and work. We also wish to say 'see you again' to our pupils leaving us to go to university. The memories you have made at KSTD will last a lifetime. As these former pupils realised at the 50th anniversary show in March, KSTD has been a constant! From rehearsal studio to stage! Preparing for performances has been a huge part of building confidence, resilience, team work, relationships, communication and organisational skills. Sets them up for life!
All these pupils started as young children and have grown up at the studio learning these life lessons.
