I hope you’re feeling proud of what you achieved Saturday — finishers or not. It was a bloomin’ hot day and you ran for miles!

💪 Remember: DOMS can give you a false sense that you’re feeling good, while your body is still recovering and repairing.

⭐ Eat plenty of protein
🤩 Keep moving
👍 Stretch gently — don’t overdo it
⭐ Make sure you’re staying hydrated

Most importantly, wear your medal and tell everyone about your NoMad experience!

Here are some photos from our amazing checkpoints & volunteers who looked after you on the day

All superb in their support and looking after you all amazingly

That watermelon and fresh fruit was welcomed along with personal service of refilling your bottles!!

Checkpoint 4 Duffield for the 50 miler looks like a fantastic place to visit sun loungers , mist spray and perfectly flattened coke to give you the energy but not the bubbles effects!

There were also rumours about an individual on route resident handing out ice pops?! Amazing 🤩

Wow what a fantastic NoMad event yesterday

To our NoMadders out in the battle fields of Derbyshire and to all that crossed the start line yesterday, you are all amazing. There was grit determination and putting one foot in-front of the other moving forward for an ultra adventure ahead. 💪💪💪

Not all conquered and cracked it yesterday but you gave it your best shot with your battle wounds today & maybe frustration but be proud all 😊 …, another time will be yours ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

It was a journey we had together and personal stories of you all out there working together with for fellow NoMadders on the trails, supporting each other and to our amazing Long Eaton running club and NoMad friends on checkpoints volunteering looking after you all out there. 👌👏⭐️

Huge respect 💪to you all and well done for those that crossed the finish line most with a smile! Some firsts in distance & ultras, some more experienced back for more and some personal bests.⭐️⭐️👏👏
