Lydden Hill Race 3 BEARs Sidecar #91

What a way to kick off the season! An absolute cracking weekend down at Lydden Hill! Great to have Ian Tennant in the chair again this season, never puts a foot wrong! Practice started off good getting in the groove again, 4th overall 1st in class.

Race 1. Started from the front row in 2nd place with the Meads pairing on pole. Got a great start and lead the race going into the first corner, a few of the kneelers came through and ended being a fairly lonely race but 12 laps was a killer! Finished 5th overall, 1st in class!🥇

Race 2. Got a good start, followed the Meads into the first corner and stayed behind for the first lap before they unfortunately pulled off the track. Set on after the kneelers in front but they were just too quick, ended up having a good battle with the Davenports on their F125 Aprilia which was great until our clutch started slipping so was a case on nursing it round to get it over the line. We still managed to just finish 7th overall, 1st in class!🥇

Race 3. We spent most of the evening putting a new clutch in for the two Sunday races. Sat on the second row, the sidecar in front of us had an issue so didn’t set off from the grid, so we didn’t get the greatest of starts. Got to the first corner behind 3 of the other bears, sat behind Jones/Howells for a few laps before getting a chance to get passed, up next were the Meads, we had a few goes at getting passed them but eventually got them to get behind the Birketts, followed them for a lap or two and managed to make a move into the left hander then a drag up the hill and sandwiched Cavey/Williams into the hairpin luckily we came away in front and set on after the Davenports just not enough laps to catch them! Finished 3rd overall, 1st in class!🥇

Race 4. Got a great start got into the first corner behind Whitaker/Feltham and stayed behind for a few laps, the Birketts made a move on us and we tried to get back passed them but they seemed to have the legs on us, so we weren’t able to make a move. Finished 3rd overall, 2nd in class!🥈

A big thanks to all officials, medics and of course the orange army and anyone else who is involved for making a meeting happen! Cadwell Park is up next!🏁

Great day at Darley Moor with BHRC to blow away the cob webs! Nice to get back out on track with Ian Tennant! Luckily the leathers haven’t shrunk too much over winter😂

A great night yesterday celebrating the 2025 season with BHRC! We finished 2nd in the BEARs Hotrod class. Great result for a challenging year. A big thanks to all my passengers over the championship rounds, Chris Fraser, Neil Davenport, Graham Davenport, Simon Dix and Ian Tennant! Without these great guys jumping on it would not be possible! And a big thanks to all the amazing family that stand out in all weathers to cheer us on!

Windle F2 Honda powered for sale!

Windle F2 chassis, was told 1997. Was built for a 350. Chassis has been altered to take a 4 stroke Suzuki engine originally, now adapted to take Honda CBR600RR engines. Ex Dave Schofield and allegedly ex Pete Founds. I bought it from Dave.
Current state is hasn’t been raced since 2024 from Brands hatch, one engine started knocking, a spare was put in at the track built by CES but had been built with crack crankcases, engine internals are probably good but never stripped engine. New engine was put in for 2024 sidecar revival but had a few issues once at Cadwell. Has just been sat in the garage, currently needs some TLC on the chassis, current engine has a clutch issue but has had a new clutch fitted. Cooling system was due to be completely overhauled I got the bike and was told to bleed the water everytime I went out.

£7000 Ono for sidecar and extra wheels and a the engines that came with it

£8500 for absolutely everything I have for the outfit, includes extra set of wheels with wets on, scrub Avon tyres and a set a brand new Avon wets never been used. Job lot of engine parts, crank cases etc etc.

Genuine reason for sale, house repairs are needed so has to be sold.

F2 Windle Honda CBR600RR for sale!

Despite wanting to get back out on this next year I’m having to sell it to fund house repairs. Will do a more detailed post later. Any more info just leave a comment and I will get back to you when possible. Thanks!
