Last weekend saw the Big10 Invitational take to the waters of Lake Natoma in Sacramento, California as one of the key early seeing events of the 2026 NCAA season.

Across the weekend, we saw King crews take to the water, winning 6 of the races entered, coming 1st and 2nd in the 4V8 with Washington and Rutgers beating the likes of California and Michigan, followed by the Rutgers 3V4 placing 3rd overall after winning their race against UCLA.

Matt Brittin is announced as the new Director General of the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) after 10 years of President of EMEA at Google.

Matt raced the Boat Race 3 times for Cambridge and further raced for Great Britain, winning bronze in 1989. Matt has also raced more recently at Head of the Charles, medalling in the King in 2023 and further racing again in the King, placing 4th in 2024. 👑🇬🇧

in 2025. As Wintech & King look back on the 2025 year, we start with an iconic moment as RowAmerica Rye went Gold and Gold in the Youth Mens and Women’s Eights at the USRowing Youth Nationals in Sarasota.

Competing in their two King SE shells, Rye men went 5:45.5 with the women clocking 6:27.4 with a 5 second clear lead over the rest of the pack.

On Saturday, Crew 60 Leander, will lead the pack of Championship Women’s coxed fours down the track as they aim to retain headship in the event for the first time in three years. After breaking the 24 year old course record in a King when the Fours Head last raced in 2022, Leander will take to the course this year in a King SE.

Our North-East Regional Group crews made a statement at the legendary 🇩🇪 International Junior Regatta in Munich!

🥇 KING 8+ Junior Women – Pure domination. They crushed it and took home GOLD in style! 🚀💪

🥈 Junior Men’s 8+ – Fastest German boat on the course! Only edged out by Team GB’s national crew in a nail-biter finish. 🇬🇧🇩🇪

👏 And hats off to Team NRW II – 5th fastest in the KING 8+... a massive result in an insanely strong field! 🙌🔥
