In this session, we’re working on kettlebell strength, shoulder stability, core control and movement quality.

The goal isn’t just to complete the exercise. It’s to understand the mechanics, maintain control through every phase, and build strength that transfers into real movement and performance.

Control |Stability |Strength |Performance.

Train with purpose. Move with intent. Earn your progress.

We often think of the quads simply as the muscles responsible for extending the knee, but their role goes beyond producing movement.
During the leg press, the quadriceps help control and produce force through knee extension, while working with the surrounding musculature to create stability around the knee joint.
The goal isn't simply to move the weight from A to B. It's about understanding how the hip, knee and ankle work together, maintaining control throughout the range of motion and keeping the movement purposeful.

Control the movement.
Own the position.

Build strength where it matters.
Good technique isn't about lifting the heaviest weight, it's about making the body stronger while maintaining quality movement.

When you train, it’s not simply about moving the weight from A to B. Your positioning, control, range of motion and ex*****on all matter.

In this video, I’m breaking down the correct technique and setup for the movement, explaining how small adjustments can make a big difference to the muscles you are trying to target.

Good training is not about ego lifting. It’s about control, intention and consistency.

My approach as a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Personal Trainer is simple: understand your body, understand the movement, and train with purpose.

Train smart. Train with discipline. Build for the long term.

We all know the name “quads” and the quadriceps muscle. But how many of us actually understand what sits underneath and around this important muscle group?
In this video, I’m breaking down the anatomy of the quadriceps and the deeper tissues involved in how the thigh and knee function.

The quadriceps are made up of four muscles, working together to extend the knee and contribute to stability and movement. Beneath the more superficial muscles is the vastus intermedius, along with deeper connective tissues and structures that all contribute to how force is transferred through the thigh and into the knee.

Understanding this matters because effective training isn't just about making a muscle bigger or stronger, it’s about understanding movement, load, mechanics and how the body works as a system.

A well-programmed approach to strengthening the quadriceps can help improve:
• Knee strength and stability
• Force production
• Movement efficiency
• Exercise performance
• Tolerance to training load
And by improving strength, movement quality and load management, we can help reduce the likelihood of knee discomfort and certain training-related injuries.
Knowledge is part of training.

Train the muscle. Understand the movement. Respect the anatomy.

An explosive unilateral movement designed to develop glute power, hip drive, stability and lower-body coordination.

The objective is not simply to get onto the box it is to generate force from the glute and hip, while maintaining control through the entire movement.

Key coaching points:
Drive explosively through the hip and glute.
Keep the femur aligned with the foot, avoid the knee collapsing inward.
Maintain a soft, controlled knee rather than locking out aggressively.
Keep the glute active throughout the movement.
Maintain a tall, strong posture and controlled trunk position.
Explode with intent, then regain control before the next repetition.
This is about producing power without losing alignment.
Glute activation - Hip drive - Explosive force - Controlled landing/stability.

A movement developed by Vitor & Nail as part of our approach to strength, conditioning, and technical movement.
