Matt is a first degree black belt in Taekwondo, and has helped coach for the last 15 years which he really enjoys, and has helped Matt see the passion he has for coaching others. About Matt:
I’ve been a qualified PT since 25/8/2020 , I’ve always helped people in the past with fitness through training or by giving advice, so during the lock down I decided to use this opportunity of time to get my
qualification level 2 and 3 in personal training. This mainly consisted of weight training until I was in my late 20s where I then took up Taekwondo which changed my way of training to more cardio, leg strength and circuit training. I’m a first degree black belt and I have helped coach for the last 15 years which I really enjoy and has helped me see the passion I have for coaching others. I love my weight training and still do this regularly in a routine of split training or circuits. I'm a keen cyclist and love to get out on the open road on my road bike and any other spare time I may find I enjoy climbing with my son. I currently still work full time and do PT on a part time basis where I have clients on weekends and run a Saturday pad training class and a Sunday circuit training class. During the lock down I set up a fitness class for some friends which we nicknamed Isolation fitness which we did through WhatsApp as a way of continuing our training and keeping in touch socially twice a week, this opportunity gave me great experience in organising and setting up various fitness routines adaptable for each person. I became a PT to help people get fit and support them through their journey as I believe there are lots of people that want to exercise and get healthy but are uncertain about where to start or find the whole concept of it all very daunting.
