Wow! What a weekend 😅
I couldn’t have asked for a better debut weekend in the radicals, experiencing both a wet and dry race.
Friday was a crucial day for me to get used to the car and the dry track, with red flags making this difficult. However, by the end of Friday I felt ready to go racing Saturday.
The rain decided to make an appearance on Saturday with a wet qualifying and wet Race 1. I started from p12/22 on the grid for Race 1 and had an amazing race getting myself up to p6 overall and p4 in class! I knew this weekend would be tough jumping into a new car, and being the last round of the championship, so I was more than happy with this result! Race 2 was a pitstop race in the dry. I got a good start but unfortunately when the safety car was brought out, we pitted and ran into a few problems making my pitstop over a minute long. I went back out in p18 with the aim of learning as much as possible and managed to move up to p14 overall by the end of the race 🏁
Overall, I am extremely happy with the progress made and have been offered a seat in the Radical World Finals in Abu Dhabi! 🤩
I would like to say a huge thank you to Formula Woman Racing and Graeme Glew for giving me the opportunity to jump into the seat and supporting women in motorsport. Thank you to RJ Motorsport for doing a great job with the car and giving me all the support and encouragement I needed to feel confident and comfortable! This meant a lot to me.
Finally, I’d like to say thank you to my sponsors, Citus Dry Lining, Salon Shelf and MIS Motorsport, whom without this weekend wouldn’t have been possible.
I am still looking for partners to join me in my racing journey, so if you’d like to be involved, please drop me a message 🙌🏻
