LURFC Pre-season training starts a week today on Tue 2nd July.

The training is open to all players, from seasoned veterans to those new to the game.

Make sure you are at Hilltops, changed and ready for 7pm.

Our head coach Jay O’Brien and his coaching team have some great sessions planned, so why not get along and blow those cobwebs away and get ready for the 24/25 season.

Missing Rugby?

Well why not pop along to a Mixed Touch session at Hilltops.

The sessions begin on Tue 4th June and will run throughout June up until when the pre-season training starts properly in July.

Lakenham Union 1st XV end the season with a rare loss as they go down 19-7 to a youthful Beccles team.

Despite the first half being scoreless it was a thriller with both teams in an arm wrestle to get the upper hand.

Beccles were the first to score in the second half with LU replying almost immediately, but a further two tries by the home side put the game out of reach of LU who despite a spirited final quarter were unable to break through a solid Beccles defence.

Here’s the Lakenham Union Men’s 1st XV squad for the final 15s game of the season.

Which is away to Beccles 1st XV in the final pool stage of the Norfolk RFU Intermediate Cup.
