In a hard fought win with a mixed squad and lots of new faces. We took about half an hour to get going. Easton went behind to an early well hit finish. Easton continued to push and ask the right questions. With a full team rotation at half time the opposition was becoming flustered with chances being created by Easton. With 20 minutes to go Yousif bangs home an equaliser. With missed chances by both sides, Tom stepped up with a delightful outside of the boot finish lobbing the keeper and gliding the ball into the net. Unfortunately, the veo wasn't charged (soon to be a club fine).

Easton FC – First Team Manager Wanted!

Easton FC is on the lookout for a new First Team Manager to lead our senior squad! Dating back to the 1960s, we’re a proud Norfolk grassroots club with a competitive adult setup, a buzzing youth section, and great community spirit. We’re looking for someone ambitious, knowledgeable, and passionate to help us keep pushing forward.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead the Squad: Run one training session a week and take the reins on matchdays (tactics, squad picks, and game-day energy).
• Build a Pathway: Work closely with our Reserve and Youth Team managers to bring young talent through the ranks.
• Set the Vibe: Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and competitive drive on and off the pitch.
• Handle the Basics: Take care of straightforward matchday admin (team sheets, match reports, etc.).

What We’re Looking For
• Coaching Experience: Background in managing/coaching adult or high-level grassroots football.
• Great People Skills: Ability to motivate, communicate clearly, and bring out the best in players.
• Commitment: Available for evening training and weekend matchdays.
• The Essentials: FA Safeguarding, Emergency First Aid, and an FA DBS check (or happy to get them before starting!).
• Bonus: FA Level 2 / UEFA C qualifications and knowledge of Norfolk football are great pluses, but passion and the right attitude matter most.

CLUB STATEMENT: FIRST TEAM MANAGER JON FOWLER DEPARTS EASTON FC

Easton Football Club can confirm that First Team Manager Jon Fowler has made the decision to step down from his role due to personal reasons.

The club extends its sincere thanks to Jon for all his hard work, dedication, and effort during his time in charge. Last season, Jon fully achieved all of the objectives set out by the board, helping keep the first team in the Anglian Combination Premier with improvements made off the pitch.

In addition to achieving objectives set for the First Team, Jon contributed, with the committee, to strengthen the club's structure. He played a role in integrating Under-16 players into the Reserves and First Team, helping establish a clear, successful adult pathway for our young talent.

Beyond his managerial duties, Jon also became the club’s resident quizmaster, providing two fun and engaging quiz nights to bolster the fundraising efforts of the club that significantly improved the club’s financial position.

Everyone at Easton Football Club would like to place on record our immense gratitude for everything Jon has done for the club, and we wish him all the very best for the future.

🤩First Team Man of the Match🤩 yesterday was Ian Woolston! He dealt with everything, stayed calm at all times and helped build attacks from left back. In all honesty, it could have gone to any of the 14 lads. Cairn Gell with some top saves, Jacob and Joe were also brilliant at the back. Alf and George showed maturity beyond their years and there was a true captain’s performance from Hayden. ⚽️ Big Performance‼️Big result‼️ We look forward to seeing everyone next season! 🫡❤️
