CrossFit is a full body conditioning programme for any age & ability, CrossFit workouts are scalable to suit each individual and their own personal goals, the CrossFit community brings together a wide range of people from beginners who are new to fitness and the elite athletes who are looking for a new challenge, both body and mind. CrossFit challenges the body in all areas using as many different

and unique exercises and movements as possible. Our aim is to adapt and develop exercises which allow individuals to perform the activities of daily life more easily and without injuries. What can you expect to gain from taking part in CrossFit workouts?

Activities that once were difficult now become easier and more comfortable to complete!!! CrossFit foundations are built around targeting key fitness areas such as: Cardiovascular and respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, co-ordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The aim is to prepare YOU to deal with life's challenges i.e. Our workouts are constantly varied and therefore you will never do two days the same, two weeks the same or two months the same. This keeps things interesting and increases the impact of each workout. The key to CrossFit’s success is due to not allowing the body get used to the type of activity/training/movement you are regularly performing (keeping the body guessing) therefore by using functional compound movements, which are performed at high intensity and are constantly varied in their duration, movements and repetitions, this allows your body to keep adapting and therefore continue getting you RESULTS long term!!! Every year thousands of people around the world walk into a CrossFit gym and take on one of CrossFit’s most meaningful traditions:
Murph!!!!!

Murph is more than a workout; it’s a tribute, a test of grit, and a shared act of remembrance.

Whether it’s your first Murph or a tradition etched into your life, the workout is bigger than fitness. Somewhere between the first mile and the final rep, Murph reminds people what they’re capable of and who they’re doing it for.

Murph is about working hard as a community and sharing some pain to get stronger. Murph allows us to show our gratitude for service personnels across the world!

Please welcome the newest member of the Spitfire team!!! You may have seen Ethan around, shadowing and taking some classes! Safe to say I think he’s fit in well! I’m sure you will all make him feel welcome in his new role as coach!!

Most of you know Ethan by now, but if you don’t here’s abit about him ⬇️

"As some of you will know I’m Ethan, I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2018 and I originally started at Spitfire, I fell in love with CrossFit due to the workout Murph and that still remains my favourite workout to this day.

When I originally trained at Spitfire I could tell it was based on a strong community of people who looked out for each other. Everyone has made me feel very welcome and reinforced the strong community feel. I look forward to learning more about everyone and helping people achieve there goals. Thank you for making me feel welcome 🤗"
