Welcome to this week's Monday Mentions for our Children, Young People and Families Service.
Easter events are currently being booked, so please look out for the new events over the next few weeks. Please see the below list of events with spaces remaining:
Wednesday 19th February 2:30pm – 5pm – Games Afternoon
Join Vision Norfolk and Virtual School Sensory Support - vision impairment for a fun-filled Games Afternoon! Connect, compete, and enjoy a variety of exciting games in a friendly and inclusive environment. Don’t miss out—come and join the fun! Drinks and snacks will be supplied. Being held at Bradbury Activity Centre, Beckham Place, Edward Street NR3 3DZ. This for ages 5-12.
Friday 21st February 2:00pm– 3:00pm – Tennis Session
Ever fancied trying your hand at tennis? Now is your chance with this free session run by Tennis Able Norwich. This is held at East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club on Lime Tree Road in Norwich. Ages 6 – 13. If you would like to book a space for this session, please email me.
New - Thursday 13th March 6.30pm – 7.30pm – Online Parents' Forum
After a successful first few sessions, we will running this monthly with the hope of continuing to build the online session. This is a great opportunity for parents to connect, share experiences, and support one another in a welcoming and understanding environment.
Saturday 15th March 10:30am – 12pm – Dance workshop run by Compass Dance
Join us for an exciting dance workshop run by Compass Dance at the Bradbury Activity Centre, Beckham Place, Edward Street NR3 3DZ. Fun, fitness, and rhythm await! This is open to ages 4 – 12 and the children can bring siblings or a friend with them. This is also wheelchair accessible.
Wednesday 9th April 11:30 – 1pm – First Aid at Home Workshop
Join a First Aid at Home Workshop, run by the British Red Cross, and empower children aged 10-19 with vital first aid knowledge. This hands-on session is designed to be practical, engaging, and fun! Siblings are welcome, so bring the whole family to learn together. Build confidence, develop essential skills, and be prepared for emergencies at home. Being held at Bradbury Activity Centre, Beckham Place, NR3 3DZ.
New - Monday 14th April 11am – 12:30pm – Guinea Pig Cafe
Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on experience with some adorable guinea pigs! Only 12 tickets available (1 child + 1 adult per ticket). Enjoy a drink and cake, followed by a special guinea pig handling session!, This is being held at Cavies & Cake, Oxborough Ln, Fakenham NR21 8AF.
Wednesday 16th April, 11 AM - 12 PM – Karate Workshop
Ready for an action-packed session designed especially for children aged 6-14. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your moves, this is the perfect chance to build confidence, learn discipline, and have loads of fun! Led by experienced instructors, you'll discover exciting techniques and develop focus, strength, and agility in a supportive and energetic environment. No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm! Siblings are welcome but spaces are limited. This is being held at The Dojo Norwich, 3 Burton Rd, Norwich NR6 6AX.

There is no charge for any of our family events unless stated. There is a pay and display car park next to our building on Edward Street and we can reserve parking, on site, for a limited number of wheelchair users if we are notified in advance.
