🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️ That’s a wrap on the 2026 Mixed Friendly season! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

Today, 56 golfers came together at Eaton for our end-of-season friendly match. Thankfully, the rain stopped just in time, leaving us with a fantastic afternoon of golf. The grass is certainly enjoying all the recent rain and is growing beautifully!

Back in the clubhouse, Kate and her team provided a fabulous BBQ, and the clubhouse was buzzing with laughter, conversation and plenty of tales from the season.

A huge thank you to Bill and Paula Ottaway for their fantastic organisation throughout the season. The mixed friendly teams have gone from strength to strength, and their hard work has made such a difference.

At the end of dinner today, we were delighted to present Bill and Paula with Eaton logo tops, ready for the 2027 season, together with a voucher, as a small token of our appreciation.

This really is a fabulous group of golfers and a wonderful credit to Eaton Golf Club. Thank you all for making the mixed friendlies such an enjoyable and successful part of our golfing calendar.

Huge congratulations to our Eaton 2 team on achieving back to back promotions in the Norfolk ladies league! Having secured their place at the top of division 4 with a home win against Caldecott Hall today, the team can look forward to matches in division 3 next year. Well done to captain Catherine Jeffries and the whole Eaton 2 squad.

This evening England golfer, Nellie Ong returned to Eaton to talk to members about her stellar year on the amateur circuit. She shared her joy of qualifying for the US Open and Curtis Cup, being starstruck in the locker room and the luxury of complimentary manicures and hair styling! Nellie also talked of the pressure of first tee nerves, handling disappointment and addressing weaknesses with hours of practice. It was a fascinating and enormously enjoyable evening and we all wish her well as she returns to Ohio for the remaining tournaments of the season and to her degree studies.
