🥋👊🏼Summer Gashuku 2026👊🏼🥋

This year, our traditional summer Gashuku was a little different but we made it work.

Thank you to Sensei James Atkin-Wagg, Sensei Peter Crawford and Sensei Paul Filenzcuk for teaching, and alongside thanks to Tom Durn, Ben Gill and Gaynor Atkin-Wagg for organising the weekend.

Kept to traditions with field training, team games on the beach and the obligatory training in the sea 💦 and a Sunday walk finished off with a delicious carvery.

And of course, the most important part of the weekend, was getting all karate-ka together again ! Thanks to everyone who came and made the weekend a good'n ☺️

ECSK are a traditional budo, Shotokan Karate club; however, last month a handful of our students took part in their first competition at a friendly local club.

These two came away with Bronze medals in junior kata and teen kumite🥉

Well done to all students who took part.
Doing something out of your comfort zone is a testament to your character and only builds confidence 🤩

🥋Saturdays Yudanska Class🥋

Fellow karate-ka and friends from Watford came to join ECSK for 3hrs of training today, training hard and learning 26-Kata.

Followed by a well earned lunch and drinks 😊

Today, ECSK invited Beth from .dereham to the dojo to teach Pilates 🧘‍♀️

Pilates brings similarities with karate and students were able to work on their focus, breathing, core strength, body control and balance
