🚨Parking and Procedure🚨

Last little bit of information about tomorrow’s EA BMX champs. Please enter from the north of the park off of drayton road. Adhere to the 5mph speed limit with your hazards on. As the diagram shows, everyone will head down towards the track, with commissaire parking and gazebo drop off taking place behind the last straight, and general parking in it’s regular spot adjacent the track.

Parking is £3, with raffle tickets £1 a ticket. We have a £5 ‘deal’ going on, which covers your parking and 3x raffle tickets.

Please treat our volunteers with respect and follow any guidance they give you.

Busy day at Sloughbottom Park!

The crew were at the track early today getting some track maintenance and preparation work in ahead of sunday’s EA BMX championships👊

Huge thanks to Chris Skinner, Jared Hill, Mark Porter and Terry Mcclarence for their dedicated time today in making the track faster and safer for professional and public use…

Cool to have riders from other clubs also hitting up the track and getting some gates in.

Registration is still open on the bc website for this weekend’s racing, get signed on!!!

What’s on this week? - it’s a busy one!

Wednesday - Open gates from 5pm, with track prep throughout the day.

Saturday - Club fun day from 10.30am. Challenge, games and general fun open to all riders who might also want a spin on the ea champs track ahead of racing.

Sunday - East Anglian Championships! Practice from 10, racing from 12, with a little box game/footdown challenge in between!

Open gates are free to attend, but require full face helmet and appropriate clothing.

*Please note the track is going to be closed to the public for the majority of the weekend. If you’d like to get your riding fix in, aim for early saturday morning or sunday evening. Thanks in advance.

🚨Next weekend!🚨

We have the pleasure of hosting next sunday’s EA BMX championships, and we’re adding something different to the event this year!

Alongside the usual racing, and post-race team relay, we are running a pre-racing Box Game/Footdown competition!

This will take place after practice, and before racing. Groups will be split in half, with 12 and unders and 13 and overs doing battle! The entry fee is £1 (quids in), with the winner of each age category taking all the cash.

Entry form is linked below, we will accept entry on the day but get yourself signed on early so we can gauge the numbers and put together a format!

Just a reminder that there is NO CLUB ACTIVITY on saturday (tomorrow) as riders and volunteers are away at the british championships!

The track is open for all to use but there is no bike hire, no gate use and no first aiders on site! Ride at your own risk, using your own equipment👍
