How do you choose the right yoga teacher training?

For many practitioners, completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training is a meaningful first step. It gives you the foundations, the language, and the first experience of guiding others.

But teaching real people, in real classes, asks for something more.

Confidence, adaptability, clear communication, supportive cueing, and the ability to hold space for mixed abilities all take time, practice and mentorship to develop.

That’s where advanced, apprenticeship-style training can be so valuable - helping teachers bridge the gap between certification and confident, skilful teaching.

Meet the Teacher: Janine ✨

Many of you will already have met the wonderful Janine Coughlan, who now leads our Monday evening Yantra Flow and Yantra RE-SET classes.

Janine describes her classes in three words:
Flowing. Wise. Uplifting.

Her teaching brings together movement, mindfulness and yoga philosophy, with little threads of yogic wisdom woven through each class - offering space to connect your practice with life beyond the mat.

And don’t be fooled by her calm, grounded presence… Janine is also trained in Bhuti Yoga, so there’s every chance you’ll leave feeling inspired, uplifted and pleasantly warm too 🔥

Summer can bring a beautiful sense of brightness and expansion - but sometimes that energy can tip into feeling wired, rushed or scattered.

Summer Meridian Moves with Cat Westwood is a two-hour seasonal workshop designed to help you work with that summer lift in a way that feels steady, nourishing and supportive.

Together, you’ll explore the Fire Element in Chinese Medicine, linked with the Heart system, and use it as a practical lens for supporting joy, self-compassion and emotional balance.

Through a blend of self-shiatsu, acupressure, Qi Gong, energy work, freeform movement and yoga, Cat will guide you through practices to release tension through the chest, shoulders and upper body, support circulation, settle mental overdrive and reconnect with your ability to receive support.

You’ll also leave with simple points and practices you can use at home.

No experience needed - just curiosity, comfortable clothes and a willingness to tune in.

Yantra Studio presents: The Divine Project 💃🏻

Join us for a Summer Solstice Ecstatic Dance journey with Janine of Hakini Yoga .yoga and DJ Matt C an evening of movement, music, cacao and connection as we celebrate the radiant height of the year.

We’ll begin in circle with a heart-opening cacao sharing, taking time to arrive, soften and connect to the energy of the Solstice. From there, Janine will guide you into an immersive ecstatic dance journey, with DJ Matt C weaving deep atmospheric beats, earthy basslines, soulful melodies and uplifting world rhythms.

This is a space to move freely, release what’s ready to go, and celebrate the abundance of light within and around us.

No choreography.
No judgement.
No expectations.

Just barefoot movement, community, music and the freedom to express yourself fully.

As the evening softens, we’ll slow into grounding soundscapes and close with a deeply restorative savasana, time to rest, integrate and settle beneath the energy of the longest day.

Early bird for our CPD Immersion Day ends this Friday 🧘‍♀️

Join Abby Hoffmann and Marie Williams for The Architecture & Alchemy of Vinyasa Flow - a one-day immersive for yoga teachers ready to refine their craft, deepen their confidence and explore what makes a class truly land.

This CPD day is designed for teachers who want to move beyond simply “teaching a class” and into creating experiences with structure, rhythm, purpose and presence.

Together, Abby and Marie will explore:

Rooted 🌿

A Jivamukti Yoga workshop with Andrea Radhika Kwiatkowski

Join us for a rich afternoon of practice, philosophy and deep rest, exploring what it means to have roots in your yoga practice.

Andrea will guide a Jivamukti vinyasa sequence with optional hands-on assists, alongside chanting, meditation, music and deep relaxation. This workshop is an opportunity to return to the foundations - connection, compassion, breath and presence - and explore teachings that feel practical in everyday life.

Andrea is an Advanced Jivamukti teacher, mentor and faculty member, with over two decades of teaching experience. Her classes are known for their depth, warmth, stories, laughter and lightness.
